Yeah, definitely nervous, but my best friend for most of my life came to stay with him while I was in the hospital, so that his routine wasn't disrupted at all. It's been hard for him this year, seeing me go through the leg stuff and now this (again). We're very close, and it's hard for him to see me like this, but he also gets to see me recover and become strong again--I try to focus on the second part a lot more with him, and do my whining and bitching online.
Now here's the tricky part the hernia and the lady parts at the same time If your mother only knew If your mother only knew If your mother only knew All I Know is that I hope you feel better soon!
Then I wouldn't recommend reading the earlier posts in this thread. No brownies this time, Tunick... just percoset and lots of sleep. I was kept on dilaudid (hydromorphine) at the hospital. The night of my surgery, I watched hours and hours of chopped, which thoroughly pissed me off because A) Ted Allen is hot, and I'm not gay enough for him... or a man. B) I was on a liquid diet until the morning. In the morning, I consumed a ridiculously enormous breakfast and then spent most of the day zoned out on hgtv (I have no idea why). I'm making soup today, and hanging out on the couch, waiting for my son to get home. My nurse was the "too busy and stressed out" type... always in a rush and panicked. Every time her phone beeped, she'd let out this long sigh and answer it in a huff. I don't understand why people who do not enjoy helping people go into nursing. There's no way in hell I'd be able to do it, but at least I know this about myself.
Glad you're back with us. Sucks about your nurse and you're right that she shouldn't be doing it if it's that much a burden, which it sounds like for her. I am glad to hear your best friend is there for you. I'm sure it helped you and your son a great deal.
I've never heard of this 'Chopped' show until that post there, harps. I hope the breakfast wasn't hospital food (was it Denny's, though?).
Glad to hear you're doing good. On Denny's....I thought that was the place you go when you are hungover.
Even heavily medicated after major surgery, harps is the only one of you with a clue... Glad to hear everything went as well as possible, Kristie.
