Rather than delve into the #notallcops meme, perhaps a more wise approach would be to address the fact that some cops being racist--even a small number--is a major problem given the massive amount of power they wield in our society.

 

I'm sure there are are a few who aren't racist.

Where did they get that picture from?

If Finnigan had it, did he do it to screw Mc Dermott cause he didn't help him out or something like that? Or was somebody waiting to get McDermott when the time was right.

 

I love the excuse is that the photo shouldn't be released because of the privacy of the man being humiliated would be violated...

 

That's seriously ****ed up.

 

Look at the photo, does the suspect look like he was involved or does it look like he was incapacitated in some way. Like the bastards beat him senseless and then posing him for a picture.

You know, its funny you scream at two white cops holding the guns with the suspect but a picture tells a thousand stories. Like where it was taken, when and more importantly by whom. I bet that guy still has his job. Why does he have his job.

Did someone take the photo or did they have it mounted. Sure as hell looks like someone took it. That's the real story, someone took it and they still have their job I bet.

Do you really think this guy was convicted over an emailed picture. No I bet someone had the original polaroid.

Somebody kept this polaroid safe until the time was right. It was leverage, I bet Finnigan had it against his partner, and after Finnigan got convicted because no one would help him he thought he could use it to destroy McDermott and others.

That photo is very offensive. If only police forces had higher standards and were stricter about who they hired. Plus, they had studied under professors like Dr. Greg Gullion, they would be better educated. But, then, education really isn't an American pastime anymore. Education sucks in this country, as most of us know, and I'm thankful for every well educated, curious, and hopeful student I meet in my tutoring jobs.

God, that picture makes me furious. I haven't been this angry over a news story in a really long time. Pieces of ****, those two, and the one who took the picture and anybody who thought it was funny. Absolute pieces of ****. What in the **** is wrong with people?

 

I read that earlier. Interesting that he said officer's of all colours will abuse black and brown people because it's allowed.

 

I read this earlier and I just reached out to the National Coalition of Law Enforcement Officers for Justice, Reform, and Accountability as a result.

 

Its interesting that seventy percent doesn't know what to do.


its almost a reflection of our society. Almost like the bystander effect.

 

It's weird when we discern those reflections of our society, and sometimes it's embarrassing.
