U2 and Sinn Fein - a moral quandry

    I'm a big U2 fan. If you're unfamiliar with the band, they're very politically motivated. In 1997, they released a single of their song Please with heads of four major Irish political parties, including Gerry Adams, head of Sinn Fein (the political arm of the Irish Republican Army, although some would argue this to be false) on the cover.

    I have a friend who, in the coming weeks, will have an opportunity to secure his autograph for me. I also own a copy of U2's Please single.

    In the interest of pure, unadulterated irony, well, I think you can see where this is going.

    So, should I or shouldn't I?

    Hmm. You might try this in the JCC U2 thread, which could use some good discussion. I can understand your reason for putting it here, though :).
