I was high on Spain for awhile, but I now I just can't see it after really looking at how the groups fall. Spain would have to beat essentially Italy, France, (or Holland), and then the winner from the other side (most likely Germany) in order to take the cup. They could win 1 or 2 of those games, not 3.

Germany has the easiest go of it given the groups, so I say Germany vs Spain in the final with Germany winning in regular time.

I'd rather see Portugal lose because seeing Cristiano Ronaldo cry was one of the highlights of the 2006 World Cup. Also I think the Czech Republic won, not one. :p

Yeah I know I am not alone in thinking he's a whining piece of ****. He may be the most selected player in the fantasy football thing on UEFA but I would rather lose than have someone like Ronaldo on my team.

I can't stand Ronaldo either. I used to really like Portugal, but in the last years they have been way too whiney.

They were discussing this tournament on the radio sports show I listen to. It's not the World Cup, obviously...how often does this tournament occur? Does Russian qualify as part of Europe?

If Turkey does then Russia must do lol. And about.... Every four years.

Not the World Cup years, I take it.

Well the EUROs are played before the World Cup, since after this it's the European World Cup Qualifying then the World Cup itself in 2010 and then EURO Qualifying for Ukraine/Poland 2012 starts after the World Cup.

You could equally say the World Cup is played before the EUROs ;)

The correct answer is that the Euro is played every four years, two years before/after the World Cup, thus always the same year as the Summer Olympics.

3-0 to Holland, and I think we have our early favourites. The Dutch were awesome.

Spain was impressive today, still I don't think they'll make it yet. Holland has gone up as one of my favourites.
