Stang. He was such a nice man. And what a gift his talent was to us fans.
Thanks for starting this thread, I was at work when I read the news and couldn't jump on to post. Big loss, always so nice. One of the first Rebel Legion troops I did was for one of his booksignings in Lexington. Superfriendly. His SW bedsheet dress shirt inspired me to get my own made. Got to interact with him at some Celebrations too, wonderful human being. Very glad we've read and discussed his books in book club over the years. He had a big impact and will be remembered.
Such a loss. He is one with the Force now and his works will go on.
Yub Yub Commander.
Will miss his talents that he shared to help make the SW universe what it is...
I hope this doesn't seem trite or selfish, as my heart does go out to his family, but I am glad that we were blessed with one last X-Wing novel; and that it (X-Wing:Mercy Kill) was such a stang good book.
I don't think it is selfish... I think he would be happy to hear his work is appreciated and maybe even a little sad that he will be unable to write more.
Ouch... one at a time they are passing from this realm. Man.. ouch.
We have been among the best of the best and there is no doubt.
