Just a heads-up for UK folks that BBC Radio 2 will be presenting a concert of John Williams' film music in honor of his 80th birthday. The concert was taped last month in Watford and can be heard Friday Dec 14 from 8PM-10PM UK time. More information can be found at

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01nmdjp

Hopefully there will be an option at that link to 'listen again' after the show for non-UK fans. Also, although the write-up doesn't mention it, Ian McDiarmid will be talking about some of Williams' lesser-known works during the interval. (This information was in a program blurb in one of today's papers. Hopefully that will be included in the radio presentation.)

(Note - I put this here instead of Film Music so more people would see it.)

Heard about this. Should be good. I usually listen to Radio 2 now seeing as Radio 1 has gone to S&*%. You hear the same song 3 times in the space of an hour. Talk about milking the cow dry!
