Lit UK Book Releases: Delayed & Missing

I ddn't see this anywhere else, sorry if I'm too slow, I haven't been near the computer for a few days!

The AotC visual dictionary and Incredible cross sections haver been dealyed for release in the UK according to Waterstones Book stores. I haven't found these anywhere else either.

Rebel Dream continues to remain elusive, I have found a copy, but none in major book shops.

I asked for the NEW essential guide to Characters, but they hadn't even heard of it?

The AotC novel IS out everywhere, along with the 'Art of' book, an Illustrated companion and the junior novelisation.

Please post with help for finding these and more UK release news.

The Visual Dictionary and Incredible Cross Sections are widely available in Toys R Us stores. Rebel Dream is starting to show up in some WHSmiths and Waterstones.

I'm not from the UK, but was Titan Books' version of the AotC Comic TPB released (I'm getting most of my comics from UK, it's faster...) ?

I got Rebel Dream a week ago tomorrow (friday) from Ottakars if that helps.

Sorta of related: I tried to find BFC: Tyrants Test a few weeks ago, and it wasn't on their computers, has it gone out of print or something?

I went to ORDER the NEW EgtC from Waterstones but it wasn't even on their catalogue. I'll try taking in the ISBN number. Amazon say they have it on 1-2 week order.

Picked up my copies of the Visual Dictionary and Incredible Cross sections this morning, £3 off at waterstones, just came in at under £20. Good value if you ask me.

It isn't going to help with my revision I should be doing at the moment, especially with Gamecube and Rogue Leader being released on Friday. Aaaarrrggghhh!

I finally found Rebel Dream the saturday before last in waterstones.

 

NEGtC was in Forbidden Planet in Middlesborough today. I couldn't afford it but it was there alright.

As far as I know, The New Essential Guide to Characters isn't being published in the UK the way the Essential Guides before Aliens were by Boxtree and selected Del Rey books are by Century (an imprint of Random House UK). Some shops are importing copies, but it's cheapest to order from amazon.com.

UK distribution of Wizards of the Coast books has caught up. Leisure Games at least has The New Jedi Order Sourcebook.

If we're unusually lucky, the rights problems with Star Wars Gamer will have been sorted out by the time Hasbro management has had time to look at the sales of #10 and see if they've increased enough for the magazine to continue. Otherwise, Borders in London get some issues, and I order others from nobleknightgames.com.

I tried once more to order NEgtC from Waterstones large store in Birmingham, It wasn't on the catalogue so he rang up the publishers who revealed

Looks like mail order from the US is now the only option, I've just ordered mine from amazon.co.uk

Has anyone managed to find the WH Smith AotC, Jango Fett and Zam Wessel Box set of graphic novels. I've checked at home and in Birmingham but I can't find them?

Does anyone have a darkhorse TPB release date for the UK?

EDIT: I hope the Queen realises that her jubilee is preventing the delivery of my copy of the NEgtC!

 

Why don't you guys try buying books from the US and shiping them over?
