Ummm, how did Yoda, Obi-wan and Bail explain Padme's death to her people?

Having her murdered by the Jedi Order in their pitiful little rebellion makes the most sense. It galvanizes the public against the Jedi Order and it makes Palpatine an even more sympathetic individual. He is, afterall, from Naboo. So...blame the Jedi. They seem to be the scapegoat for everything during this period of the new order.

I see a lot of speculation on here, but here the answer.
Obi-wan and Yoda really weren't around anyone after they went into hiding, so they wouldn't have to do any explaining. According to the visual dictionary, the family was told that it was the fault of the jedi and their rebellion that she died.

They were adults and capable of taking care of themselves. Luke already wanted to join the Alliance, before he found out the truth of everything. And Leia was raised to fight for freedom and democracy.

    Simple, Jedi Mind trick:

    Yoda just up there:

    "Dead, Senator Organa is"
    *Crowd panics*
"Panic, you will not. Become an angry mob, you will not"
    *waves hand*
"Ask question about here death, you will not"
    *waves hand*

Ummm, how did Yoda, Obi-wan and Bail explain Padme's death to her people?

The same way girls got out of having to swim in gym class: "female problems."

Actually this is a very good question and a sticky wicket and a bit of a problem for GL and the story.

Yoda and Obi-Wan didn't do any explaining. They probably stayed on Bail's ship and did not make an appearance.

Even Bail explaining the situation would have been tricky.

How did he get her body?

Obviously Anakin tells Sidious the details behind him killing Padme and his little maiming accident, so Sidious assumes Obi-Wan took Padme's body when he left Mustafar.

Now her body shows up on Naboo via Bail's ship.

    How does that happen?

Sidious would then know there was some sort of contact between the two otherwise Bail would have to come up with some excuse that Obi-Wan showed up on his doorstep and dumped the body and then took off.

Then suddenly Bail has a new adopted infant daughter? Hmmm, logically there would be inquiries made and Bail would be 'outed' sooner or later.

Actually, I read that it was against Naboo custom to investigate who the father was. So, they may have told them how she died, but looking for the father....not allowed.

In the novelization, Yoda say she must still appear pregnant at her burial on Naboo, forcing people to assume that th children are dead within her as well. Gruesome, but it does get rid of a lot of questions.

If that was the case, it wouldn't really matter who the father was, and no investigation would be necessary.

When Padme is return to Naboo the people and the queen are told the Jedi killed her. Although many disagreed. the Naboo did not look into Padme's pregnancy nor whom the father was, due to padme privacy in life.
