Plus I bet Lucas/Eisner have a big warehouse full of old plush Wattos that they need to unload.
And Jar-Jar toys are probably in at least two airplane hangars.

As for Star Tours still packing people in.....well.....the last few time I've gone to Disneyland the line for Star Tours has barely been out the door.

Great for me, I like to ride it 5 or 6 times everytime I go.

Star Tours is a bomb currently. The robots inside are something out of short circuit, not SW. It doesn't even make any sense!

The ride should be Star Wars based, not some funny Sci-Fi from Battlestar Galactica in the 80's.

Today, I started having some concerns about this shindig.

First of all, are there any plans to gather/meet in one place? I guess that I'm becoming a little wary to spend $65 (admission and parking...I don't have the energy or $ for two parks in one day) and end up wandering the park alone all day. You feel a little pathetic doing that. Are there going to be any organized events or activities?

I know that Siri and I are going to be staying with the Emperor and his wife. Also meeting up with some others down there. There is the big meet at 2:30 in front of the castle for pics at 3:00. As for anything else... don't know.

You can either buy one of the shirts they made especially for this event, or you can wear a club shirt so you know where people are from.

The web site should have all the information, including the photo shoot in front of the castle.

I saw that article. That really pains me! The line that really got to me is the fact that this ride has had problems in the past with hospital visits.

Tim, Whitney, and I went on that ride last November, and usually I can handle spinny rides, but that one left me queasy for a while.

Does picturing little kids cure nausea? At any rate, I'm over the dizziness now, but next time, i'll try it.

What the article DOESN'T say is they tell you about 10,000,000 times before you get on the ride to look straight ahead and not look around. Hell, Gary Sinese tells you to look straight ahead and not look around. Then there's the BIG GIANT RED SIGN that says the exact same thing.

because i am military personel i can purchase tickets for just about every event in san diego w/ a huge discount. the disney land tickets on base cost about $40 a person and the one day park hopper is about $58. if anyone wants to save a bunch of money next weekend at disney let me know and supply the cash and i can get you a ticket. the base also has special group discounts. i will be at the party tomorrow, if i can find a ride, so get w/ me then.

I have a year pass, so even with it being a blackout date, I can still get my ticket for about $30. :)

Problem with telling a 4 year old not to look around...that 4 year old will look around anyways. They don't have that kind of memory or attention span.

    Oh well...

I still have no idea what we're diong about tickets, we've commented about a year pass but I don't know yet. Of course there is the slight possibility we may have to cancel.

Also word on the Main Street is that a lot of food service people quit. So give yourselves plenty of time for lunch and such.
