Post your unpopular opinions on the EU only.

-- Karen Travvis is an amazing writer <3

-- Bloodlines was so much better then Betrayal and Tempest.

    -- Mara-Jade is overrated. I don't hate her though.

    -- I love Allana.

-- I'd like to see Jar-Jar pop up in the EU.

Jacen's fall to the dark side was cool.

TCW is loved, and no, I don't believe in such nonsense.

-Dark Nest is the best multi-book set since SotP/VotF
-Luke and Mara were much more interesting when they weren't married
    -Ben Skywalker is annoying

    Flip-side of some opinions, anyway:

TCW Mandalorians are a littler cooler and fit a little better into the framework of Mandalorian history than the Republic Commando and LOTF Mandos do. I still kind of like them, but I think making them a high technology race with strong parallels to Prussia and Germany works a little better than the primitive-esque nomads they were being portrayed as. The Death Watch is a nice continuation of the original group, Pre Viszla is a villain matched only by perhaps Ghez Hokan in the RC series, and I can actually see these Mandos being subjugated in time for the Marvel comics. I even kind of like the New Mandalorian pacifists just for the contrast they provide.

Jacen Solo (originally) was a better character than Anakin Solo. It plays better to have Anakin die in Star by Star and Jacen go on to change into a BA in Traitor and villain in LOTF than having Anakin be super-duper special.

George Lucas is not the ultimate enemy of the Expanded Universe. He merely feels that since the "sandbox" is still legally and originally his, he can over-ride anything he sees as stupid (nomad Mandos as the mainstream) while preserving what he likes (Quinlan Vos and Aayla Secura.)

I've enjoyed every moment of Ben Skywalker.

Vestara is at least as interesting a character as Mara ever was.

I don't mind Cal Omas being a WHM.

-Dash Rendar is my favorite smuggler.....although I attribute this to playing the N64 SOTE game throughout the 90's.

    - I kind of like the inclusion of the Ones in the EU, although I feel we don't have much information on them

    - I thought Darth Plagueis and Traitor were overrated(they're still quite good just not my cup of tea)

    - I enjoyed DNT

I wish the EU talked more about midi-chlorians.

Besides EoV 1, I'm not a huge fan of Greg Keyes books.

    Denning is't the next KJA

    Blackman is underrated

    Droids and Ewoks are underrated

Legacy has a underwhelming main antagonist

TOR is a good game despite Drew K writing the lead in for it and being one of the games co-writers

    Dark Empire hate is unfounded

I liked PoD better than JvS.

I barely remember anything about SBS. Anakin's death scene was overplayed and melodramatic.

-Pretty much every gripe people have about Karen Traviss and her Mandalorians is correct, or at least reasonable. I still really like her books anyway.
    -Matthew Stover is overrated.
-Killing off Anakin Solo was a good story concept, and executed well.
-Mandalorians as designated good guys are better than Jedi as designated good guys.

A DE novel would be a waste of time. By Stover or anyone else.

Sorry, but I second liking PoD more than JvS. I really didn't like JvS when it came out, so I could care less about PoD conflicting with it.

I liked Allegiance, along with all of Zahn's previous novels and his short stories that I had read, but I haven't read Choices of One yet.
