Saga Unpopular Star Wars opinions!

I like most of the changes he made: the Sarlacc, the additional aliens in ANH, McDiarmid as Sidious, Boba having Jango's voice, etc. Most of it is great.

 

I think Jedi Rocks is an improvement.

While I most prefer the Empire puppet of Yoda, I'll take CGI all day, everyday over that awful puppet apparently of some distant relative of Yoda originally in Phantom Menace.

I hate the SE celebration at the end of Jedi and also prefer Yub Yub to the newer lovely Williams tune.

 

Emperor Palpatine is the greatest film villians of all time. I am McDiarmid deserved an Oscar for his performance in Revenge of the Sith'.

Green lightsabers are better than the blue ones


not sure if that's unpopular but it's worth mentioning

 

- Luke is the 2nd best acted character all throughout the OT, after palps
- Han is a boring one-note character
- Everyones acting in TPM is great (Jake is a believable kid, I dont get it?)
- The romance in AOTC is the best part of the film
- The podrace is one of the worst parts of TPM
- "You're breaking my heart" is a heartbreaking line!
- Action sequences are often the lowest point of the films
- Naboo is the best looking location in the saga (not sure if this unpopular but I dont hear it much)
- Every prequel film is better than every OT film

 

I would rather have the Clone Wars season 7 and 8 than TFA.

 

The Holiday Special is the holy grail of the franchise

Kylo Ren and General Hux modeled their looks on JP from Grandma's Boy, the original lord of all things.

 

The Han & Leia romance is mercilessly obnoxious in Empire.

 

I love R2-D2, but his shrieks are almost unbearably awful.
