Saga Unpopular Star Wars opinions!

I'm excited for the Han Solo movie because it's going to be bad.

 

Well I think I'd slot in Jabba at #4 and Tarkin at #5.

 

Boba Fett wasn't very cool

 

There were so many people who were saying she was worse the Jar Jar I’m like what are you talking about

 

The Falthiers sequence is the best scene in TLJ and is one of the most enjoyable action sequences of any movie in recent years.

The podrace is still the best sequence.

 

I liked the Leia floating in space scene in The Last Jedi. Even though I don't think it is a very good film this was the least of my concerns.

 

Jake Louie did a fine job in TPM.

 

Attack of the Clones is a top 4 SW film.

 

TPM has some of the best moments in the entire saga.

 

Snoke is one of the best bad guys in the saga.

 

Why do you believe so? I do not disagree.

 

Rian Johnson is an average at best director (to say nothing of his writing).

The only really good visual in TLJ was Holdo's hyperspace jump, with it's contrasting, stark colours, and complete silence. The rest of the film left me cold, not helped by the lacklustre visual design. I especially disliked how Rey and Kylo's force chats were filmed with flat shot-reverse-shots, rendering a potentially interesting set-up visually dull.

 

I disagree. It think for his own work, his own movies, he's fairly authentic and I'd put him as a good director in my book. Although he does seem a bit...childish?

But for Star Wars, No. I don't think he can work with it as he has an innate tendency to replace everyone including Luke, with his own characters from the likes of "Looper" or "Brick". Overall he wouldn't have been able to do anything anyways since the ST was made out to be retro movies.

 

Boba Fett, Phasma and Maul are not characters so much as excuses to sell action figures (though Maul is more developed in TCW and Rebels)
Boss Nass is awesome
Rogue One is vastly overrated. It has some great action and visuals but there is not a lot of depth to it (the most human character is the droid).

 

Kylo Ren is not sympathetic or relatable no matter how many times RJ tries to force feed it via interviews.

 

I like Maz's part in TLJ.

 

Jango Fett is a more badass character the Boba Fett and Phasma.

 

Whilst I hated it at first - Kylo Rens lightsaber is the coolest looking one in the whole saga!

 

Remeber all the backlash his lightsaber caused. Those were the good old days.

 

I sure do... I remember thinking it looked ridiculous and then I saw the film and it was fantastic! I love how unstable it is. Kylo Ren (imo) in TFA has the best design since Boba Fett

 

The saber sounded dumb in concept, but works on screen.
The sound of it, Kylo pushing the hilt or side vent or whatever that is called into Finn's shoulder.

 

An unstable saber for an unstable villain.
