    1. 5 is overrated when it's one of my least favorite films (still great, just not in my top 3)
    2. Han Solo is hyped up so much when, I feel, Luke/Leia/Vader had more allure, depth, and importance
    3. 3 and 6 are all-time favorites, the best in the saga
    4. The Naboo scenes in 2 were pretty much well done
    5. I though Luke was a better match for Leia (until I learned they were related)
    6. 1 was great. I liked Jake's acting, the podrace, and Qui-Gon telling Obi to raise Anakin.
    7. Imperials were more entertaining than rebels
    8. Prequels enhanced originals
    9. While PT could be not enough emotion on some scenes (I see that), OT had too much emotion or corniness on some scenes (and vice versa of course but majority)
Hm....can't think of any more that will have me "eaten alive" lol.

To me, it's funny how Anakin is described as a "whiny B***h as well at times."
I guess because they're not callous, swindling, and (as Leia said) "[care] about no one but [themselves]." lol

Star Wars would had been nothing A New Hope would had been the only movie to be made.

Other than TESB, I'm right there with you. Empire is in my personal top 2 with RotS. RotJ is in my 3-spot. But very close, none-the-less.

I always thought the way Palpatine struck down Fisto, Tiin, and Kolar was epic, and the ensuing duel with Mace was one of the best in the saga.

lol. I don't know why 5's considered the best to some people. Besides the reveal...I can't imagine any other reason it'd be the top one.

The introduction of the Executor, the ground battle on Hoth, the chase through the asteroid field, and a few other things, I recall being cited a lot.

I never minded the Ewoks at all and don't think they ruin ROTJ at all.

The 6 (soon to be 9) movies are the only true additions to the Star Wars saga.

I have a feeling that you think LOTR is the greatest saga.

    Just a feeling.

    Can't really place it.

Watched the Dagobah scenes over the weekend. They didn't stand the test of time.

I call it the Middle-Earth Saga, with LOTR and Hobbit

But SW is #3 on my favourite movie lists but will go to #4 when the last Hobbit comes out

Because it's by far the most competently directed of the films

Each to their own opinion. I feel the directing in 6 and 3 were best (as the director is as the conductor, he/she's supposed to fix or avoid as many blunders as possible and I feel 6 and 3 were most without those and 5 was...not so much. As I said before apart from the reveal [and the carbonite scene. Forgot that one], which were a product more of the story and less of the direction, 5 was not the best-done film of the 6. (My opinion of course)

The Lord of the Rings was the best saga ever, and then they tried to film it.

I don't like Han much as a character but I am glad he's a mundane (average) Human. SW seems a bit elitist in tone which I don't like.

I find ROTJ is the most entertaining of the series but in some ways ESB is the best. In a sense you can say both are tied for #1 of the series. I love ANH too, but I feel ESB and ROTJ were better.

That they should have stopped at two films.
