You know, as much as Filoni and the team gets ragged on here for supposedly making everything about Ahsoka, I definitely think you guys have it worse.

I thought Mercy Mission was pretty great. But like, in spite of 3PO and R2. The actual mercy mission, Wollfe and the 104th, and seeing Aleenans...all that was cool. Not so much all the rest.

Mercy Mission and Nomad Droids were very good episodes in my opinion; I enjoyed the 3PO & R2 misadventures and the latter episode was one of the funniest of the series.

    The Clone Wars:
    • Obi-Wan vs Grievous was just as annoying as Anakin vs Dooku, mainly because I thought the dialogue they shared in Revenge of the Sith implied that it was their first time dueling (Obi-Wan even seems to scoff at the idea of Grievous being a capable duelist). Of course like the more criticised example it happened way too much as well.
    • Since nobody seemed to care about the idea of Dooku not fighting Obi-Wan and Anakin since Attack of the Clones and Obi-Wan and Grievous' dialogue, I wish they just went "screw it" and decided to have Anakin and Grievous meet and have their encounter in ROTS just be written off as weird banter or something. Never got why it was so much more important than the other things I listed not to have them meet, not to mention how much I get taken out of episodes when they are in the same situation but are given really contrived reasons to keep them separate (it was all I could think about when I watched Utapau, heh). Also, part of me wants to see how a duel between them would go. XD
    • Plo Koon is fine and all, but he's kind of overrated. Being Filoni's favourite character certainly doesn't help things. Same with the Wolfpack - like their armour and everything, but nothing about them really stood out to me character wise compared to many other clones (especially the 501st) despite them obviously being Filoni appeal. Also even though I can only remember two examples (Citadel and Slaver arcs), I always have this image of them in my head as a deus ex machina that shows up to rescue the heroes whenever they are in trouble.
    • I swear I'm the only one who finds it strange that for such a prominent prequel era antagonist, Nute Gunray only appeared in like three episodes. Granted he isn't super popular or anything, but it's funny when he seemed to be a key player with the Separatists.
    • Bounty Hunters never did anything for me, and I actually found the villagers annoying.
    • Sphere of Influence had a cool blaster fight at the end even though the rest of the episode was so-so.
    • I don't hate Lux - he's no favourite of mine or anything, but I never was opposed to him being on the show. Watching people make fun of him is enjoyable though. XD
    • I liked Mortis quite a bit, and I quite like the Son as well (don't want to sound too simple minded, but... red force lightning FTW). Actually took me a while to get why there were more detractors than I thought there were, especially since I felt like there would be people getting hyped over the force getting more mystical elements back into it (unless Lucas decided to troll everyone and go "YOU WANT YOUR MORE MYSTERIOUS FORCE, COME AND GET YOUR MORE MYSTERIOUS FORCE" because it seemed to go too far for some).
    • Shadow Warrior wasn't that bad of an episode, and I didn't get into an uproar over Grievous getting pwned by gungans. Actually like the Mon Cala arc less (except for maybe Prisoners, that episode was better than the previous two).
    • I really liked Pong Krell in the sense that he was just so great at being a villain - to be honest I had never seen any other villain get such a reaction out of the audience on the show before. Okay maybe in his last episode there were some things like the Separatist ambitions that weren't as great (even if I wasn't as bothered as some), but gosh he stole the show for me whenever he appeared. I actually wished they could've found a way to keep him alive instead of killing him off, I honestly wanted to see more of him.
    • A Friend in Need was a good episode, if a bit tightly packed. Lux and Death Watch didn't bother me in it.
    • Crisis on Naboo was the only time I didn't feel off about Anakin fighting Dooku for the billionth time, because that ending was such a big surprise.
    • I was fine with Onderon, and felt like people slightly exaggerated how much the love triangle played a part in the story.
    • D-Squad wasn't terrible - took a bit to grow on me, but I like it now. WAC and Gascon still somewhat annoy me however, especially in The Void.
    • Barriss' turn didn't really bother me as much as some people, though I actually was in denial that it would've been her until after To Catch a Jedi.
    • Tup should've been Jesse in the Order 66 arc - don't think I'm the only one who found the whole "Fives and Tup as best buds" thing to come out of nowhere, so having a fellow clone with a more established relationship with Fives that wasn't big like Rex would've worked better for me. Heck, Kix would've made more sense than Tup (seriously, how much did he and Fives even interact in Umbara?), plus it would've had an irony of the medic being the one with the serious condition.
    • I actually prefer the show's explanation of Order 66 compared to it just being an order that the clones followed. After seeing how they were written in the show, I'd find it really difficult to imagine the clones just instantly obey some order from an old guy in a cloak that kind of looks like the Chancellor. Sure if they were written differently there could've been an interesting ethical angle to it, but since Sidious wanted it to be successful having it be programmed makes sense (not to mention that the clones don't even ask anything about why they are suddenly going through with this and actually call him "my lord"). It also adds an extra layer of tragedy like many have said. I will say that I'm not exactly sure if I like the idea of them snapping out of it after they kill a jedi though, since they didn't act that way in ROTS from what we saw (until I see otherwise I'm assuming it's part of Tup's decay, since not having them permanently turn seems to be kind of inefficient).
    • Clovis never seemed like he was too bad of a guy to me, and was just easily manipulated by Dooku. Well, with the Banking Clan stuff anyway, assaulting Padme was most certainly not okay...
    • The Yoda arc was the hardest to enjoy out of The Lost Missions - it wasn't bad or anything, but I found it hard to get into. The Lost One made the Sifo-Diyas thing really confusing, Voices was kind of slow even if it had Qui-Gon, Destiny I guess was the best episode even if that scene in the temple with Ahsoka was over the top, and Sacrifice kind of confused me as well even though I really liked Darth Bane. I also found it hard to process how it affected Revenge of the Sith, especially since Yoda's development in these episodes doesn't really affect the movie.
Will probably post some ones for Rebels once I get time to think about it.

Regarding Tup, I think the reason that he was chosen to go 'rogue' was because in the Umbara arc he's the only clone to even listen to Dogma. That shows that he's still trying to follow his 'orders' somewhat, even Order 66. At least, that's the way I've always seen it.

Except when I initially though that Tup was Dogma in the Order 66 arc. Such confusion. [face_hypnotized]

    TCW:
-I like Ahsoka. Actually, she is my fourth favorite SW character overall.
-I hate hate hate Krell. He is like the most evil being ever.
-I like the clone's personalities. They are people too, and I'm glad the Clone Wars goes into that.
-I like the Mortis trilogy. I like all the neat Force stuff and it really gives you a lot to think about.

    Rebels:
-I don't like Sabine. She looks really cute and I would really like to be able to like her, but so far I just can't. I like her as an artist, but I hate how she can do moves like a Jedi. It's not like she is Force sensitive. I think if she had a rocket pack it would help. It would make her Mandolorian armor more complete and would make sense as to why she can make large jumps and such.
-Kanan shouldn't have defeated the Inquisitor. It's just....terrible. After like less than ten episodes (and about what, four confrontations or something?) he defeats a Sith. That just doesn't work for me. Anakin, Ahsoka and Obiwan spend like three years trying to take down Asajj, Grievous, Dooku, and even Maul and Savage with no success. I have to say, I was shocked when the Inquisitor died. I had expected that he would last for many seasons to come.
    - Ezra is way too powerful. Why does he even need to be trained, really? He seems to have figured out plenty of Force tricks on his own. He can jump do high jumps, sense things calling to him, and force shove, all without any training. I think this really undermines the other characters in the rest of the Saga. Who needs Luke when we have Ezra to save the day? Or why did we need the Chosen One when we have Kanan, a Jedi who didn't even complete his training, that can defeat a Sith Lord after only a few tries?
-The Empire's incompetence. It's just so unbearable. Literally, the Stormtroopers can't hit a target three feet in front of them. No one can stop the Ghost crew. It's like they're invincible.
-I did watch the Spark of Rebellion last night and I have to agree that these "Rebels" seem almost more like terrorists. They are blowing up everything like every five seconds. Sounds like a lot of terrifying damage.
I am hoping that perhaps things will shape up in the second season.

My unpopular opinion is that, deep down, I'm just not concerned about there being too many cameos. I love the Ghost Crew, and I obviously want them featured in Rebels, but one of the reasons I enjoy franchises like Star Wars is because I love how the many different stories connect to each other.

I was more thinking about the relationship with Fives, actually. I think I get where you're coming from, I just found it weird how Tup and Fives were suddenly made to be best buddies when there was nothing to really indicate that beforehand. What we do see of them together does suggest that something developed between them in between Umbara and Order 66 so it could've been far worse, but I felt like if they wanted to have a better emotional connection they should've went with a clone that we already know Fives is good friends with. That and the lack of resolution for AZ-3 (who I actually quite liked, when I first saw him my thoughts were "this is what WAC should've been!" XD) were the only real problems I had with the Order 66 arc, which is my favourite from Season 6.

You mean that what we saw in Sacrifice were illusions (in which you would be correct), or that the mere idea of Darth Bane and the ancient Sith are fake? The latter would be difficult because Bane was known by Yoda...

    * The personalities of the Ghost's crew, the relationship dynamic between them, their resourcefulness and cunning are brilliant, but I think that Sabine could do with some flaws to balance out the perfect, emotionally stable, feisty, snarky teenager with abilities which came close to entering Mary Sue territory in the Season 1 finale. I'm still fond of her character and am keen to learn her backstory, but I really do not want a repeat of that sequence where she did leisurely flips only a short distance away from stormtroopers who kept missing her, while she taunted them. Also, how the hell did she not dislocate her coccyx!?

    * Ezra is a fun, charismatic and engaging protagonist. When the pilot episode aired, I thought I'd hate his character but since then he's really grown on me with his personality, his virtues and his flaws. I can see why some fans think he's an annoying little **** (amongst other things), but for me, his immaturity and defensive survivor personality make sense because of his age and his traumatic background; because of these factors, it's rather satisfying to see him grow under the nurturing support of Kanan & Co because he's actually learning, adapting and moving on with his life, despite his demons. He's an adorable scamp.

    * It seemed that when joking around in Season 1, all the Ghost's crew were sarcastic, enough so that their voices sound a bit too similar at times. You could say the exception is Chopper, but even he's sarcastic in Binary (droid-speak). Their banter is entertaining, but it felt too samey-same; in a nutshell, for a number of lines, the voice-actor could have been swapped and the viewer probably wouldn't have been able to discern which character originally said the line. Evidently, the rebels use sarcasm as a method of coping with their traumatic backgrounds, not to mention the constant pressure they're under to evade death or the Empire while helping out some of the most brutalised, disenfranchised people on Lothal, but a bit more nuance in terms of each rebel's sense of humour would add another layer to their character, i.e. when feeling particularly angry, resentful/powerless, one rebel's sarcasm could take on an abrasive, hurtful edge which alienates the others and could be a cause of conflict. I think that's expecting a bit too much though!

    * On a lighter note, Disney might want to cut back on re-cycling the 'What the-!?' line uttered by Imperial troops; either use it sparingly or come up with a new utterance; it's become like Roger Moore's 'OOOOOHHHHHHH' exclamation of pain from the Bond movies. :p

    * Some people will probably want to put **** through my letterbox for saying this, but... I'm glad that the Mallus ship wasn't made canon. Hell, I enjoy fanart/fanfic of the couple, but it was great for a female Imperial officer represented on TV for the first time not to be shoehorned into a romance. I was told that Tua's entry in the Ultimate Star Wars Guide stated that while she graduated from the Academy with top honours, she's a 'self-absorbed and ineffectual leader.' You got those vibes from how she behaved and how the other Imperials reacted to her, but it's good to know that incompetence doesn't discriminate based on gender. :3

It would have been problematic (in terms of misogyny as well as lousy writing) for Disney to have the flighty, incompetent female leader who was constantly following Kallus around to hook up with him, and then for him to go completely OOC to the point that should Tua think of defecting, despite Kallus' hardened attitude and many years of hunting down and eliminating dissenters or rebels (including within the Empire), he would suddenly go soft and betray his core values, just because... wuv. I think that if Kallus had a family and his partner or children took interest in rebellious activity, he'd have few qualms about reporting their activity and having them incarcerated/re-educated; and, if push came to shove, I have no doubt that Kallus would kill them, albeit with some reluctance. Anyway, to sound like a stone-cold b****, the outcome of the Season 2 premiere is ******* hilarious because of the discrepancy in what people hope for and what actually happens. I love situational irony. On a related note, Yan Lianke, anyone? His literary works are darkly funny and poignant. But yeah, kudos to Disney for prioritising plot and what actually fits established character patterns over porn.

    * Jason Isaacs did a truly exquisite job of voicing the Inquisitor, but the actual character himself was a flat pancake. I think that the Inquisitor should have been given a bit more development, i.e. learning his proper name, some hint of his background, etc, before he died. The Inquisitor wasn't that interesting nor appealing due to his over-the-top evilness; cackling, ice-cold, two-dimensional villains who rave on about the awesomeness of the Dark Side (or whatever really) leave me cold. The Inquisitor's fate was actually foreshadowed by the interviews which came out, which IIRC, described him as an attack dog who just follows his orders, with no hesitation nor questions asked - so his death in the Season 1 finale wasn't a surprise. I'm thrilled that Kallus made it; he's one of the most interesting characters and has a lot more potential due to what he is and what he represents, and while in some ways he's not as dangerous as the Inquisitor was, he feels human - and that's what appeals to me in a character.

I really like the "control chip" plot. It makes more sense than good soldiers just turning on the Jedi who bleed in the mud with them.
I hate the scenes that showed Jedi not thinking of clones as human with individual personalities. The first season Yoda episode should have been the opinion of Jedi.
I think the arguments about the ghost crew being terrorists has merit. I guess perspective is important because I still like them. Must remember this on my next deployment. I also think that as Kanan and Ezra come closer to the force they will turn away from these tactics.
I understand some people don't like Ashoka but she is here to stay just as the EU is gone. I personally love her character and want to see more of this older Ashoka and see how time and lose has affected her.

I am only speaking about the EU being gone as it has changed to legends. As a result, the films will do as they like and events and people we love will cease to exist in the new time line. At least this is how I have interrupted the changes. Please tell me if I am wrong because I so want to be wrong on this and see Mara Jade and Kyle Katarn

Well, in the first few minutes of the movie, for their Lothal mission they blow a ton of stuff up like every five seconds. Actually, they seem to spend a lot of time blowing stuff up.
After a bit of consideration, I've decided that I would actually qualify the Ghost crew as rebels, not terrorists. Mostly because even though they blow stuff up, nobody seems to actually be hurt, and it doesn't seem to cause a ton of damage. Like in "Art Attack", an explosive literally blows up in a Stormtroopers face, yet he seems relatively unharmed.
I think though, in Rebels, they should really try to up the Empire's overall evilness. Kicking a citizen out of of a restricted area (honestly, when are random citizens ever allowed to wander into a restricted area?) or being rough with a Gotal because he's unregistered for trade isn't exactly enough of a reason for me to think they have to start a rebellion.
Now murdering innocent farmers just because you can, wiping out all the Jedi and blowing up an entire planet (almost two), that's something you want to fight against. So I think in the films, it does a better job conveying why they Rebellion has a right to, well, rebel.
But in Rebels, it might be nice to see a bit more ruthless side of the Empire. And I'm not saying I want the show to be really violent, because I most certainly don't, but they should show us how the Empire will plow through anybody to get what they want, and that they are unnecessarily mean.
Maybe going into the character's backgrounds would help. They all seemed to have been hurt by the Empire, but the show is really vague on specifics.
