Summary: Angsty Kyp songfic about Kyp?s thoughts after the fight with Jaina on Sernpidal.

A/N: I?m surprised no one?s done this song yet for Kyp. I listened to my Matchbox 20 CD ?More Than You Think You Are? and Kyp came immediately to mind.

Kyp Durron raised a hand to his stinging cheek as Jaina stormed off. The teenager had a strong slap when she wanted. Kyp noticed his pilots watching him, and he headed towards his room.

Kyp sighed as he stared at the blue/black icy ceiling of his room. Jaina should have been able to understand why he lied to her. The Vong needed to be to stopped, and their worldships caused much damage.

?Jaina, I?m sorry.? Kyp thought sadly, but not regretfully. Kyp never regretted anything he?d done; before the war and during it. However, he hadn?t meant to hurt Jaina. Far from it. The apprentice offer had been a trick at first, but, surprisingly, training Jaina Solo was an intriguing thought for Kyp. Kyp smiled slightly as he thought of what Mara?s reaction to that would be.

Kyp?s pilots would forgive him, obviously. Wedge Antilles and Gavin Darklighter were a different story. Wedge had always hated Kyp and if he hadn?t thought Kyp was crazy before, he certainly did now. Darklighter didn?t trust Kyp, but they were on reasonably good terms with each other. That was gone now.

Out of all the hours thinking

I've lost my mind

Gavin and Wedge?s distrust and dislike didn?t bother Kyp as much as they should. His thoughts kept drifting back to Jaina. Kyp?s immediate thought when he first saw her get out of her X-Wing for the first time on Sernpidal was that she had definitely grown. An amused grin played on his lips as he thought of Jaina at 2 years old. Definitely the spitfire she was today.

Hey, I?ve finally done a songfic. And it was one about Kyp. Look at that.
