    RE:
Classified mission to delay any aggressors and protect the convoy at designated jump point.

    Status:
    Mission accomplished, with complications.

    Summary:
Our team was dispatched by freighter to the coordinates for waypoint protection of the convoy. As expected, aggressors approached our vessel which was emanating distress and damage. The convoy was ignored and successfully completed that particular jump.

    Post op:
Our ship was boarded by beings that identified themselves as officers of the GIR. They searched the ship and required our ID. Myself and Suuk were identified as Jedi. We were all escorted off of the freighter and transferred to their shuttle. Suuk and I were detained. Rosh evacuated the location in the x-wing.

We were then transported to an unknown GIR outpost based in a mining asteroid. Suuk and I were placed in a holding area. We escaped hoping to find the rest of the team and sneak out, but I was spotted immediately by a guard and engaged us. We were attacked and defended ourselves. During this time Rosh arrived and provided support. All aggressors were neutralized. During the encounter, their shuttle was destroyed.

It appears that the facility was in its initial stages of re-purposing into a secret base, as some of the equipment had not been completely installed.

Extraction was called in and the base was destroyed.

Please note that my master exhibited unusual behavior in relation to the enemy. Typically his style is eccentric, but I believe further investigation should be considered.

All other members of the team performed adequately.

Just a reminder, you are getting about a three-week downtime period between the last session and this session. Use this time wisely. If you want to research something, or try and follow a lead, or search for more clues, now is the time to do it. Just send me a PM and let me know what you are doing, and we will go from there.

At the start of the next session, you will be going on your second mission, which will be decided by the Jedi council based on the reports they get. Which reminds me, Mason, take an extra force point for your report.

    See you guys friday!

To: Whom It May Concern Within The Jedi Hierarchy

    Re: Mission Report

Our vessel?s hyperdrive malfunctioned on route to the rendezvous with the convoy, stranding us alone in a woefully under-prepared ship. A GIR inspection team chose that moment to make themselves known. Upon their seizure of the vessel, communication with the Jedi escort pilot went black. I declined to resist our party being moved into their transport, as that seemed to be the best way to determine her location.

Upon arrival at an unidentified instillation, which I would later learn was located within the Tatooine system, those of us where had revealed ourselves as Jedi were separated from those of us who had confirmed civilian identities. Jedi and non-Jedi were brought to separate interrogation centers. I should point out that the personnel of this base did not even bother with pretenses that the non-Jedi among us were anything other than ?enemy combatants? with no access to basic legal rights due any citizen of the Galaxy.

It did not take long for us to liberate ourselves. The Jedi Pilot arrived shortly into the start of the skirmish. I hope her vessel?s black box will be useful to see how her route deviated from ours.

Shortly before the death of the final trooper, someone commented upon a disturbance in the Force. A similar feeling struck them during the initial interrogation, though it was much weaker and easily overlooked. It is as though there was an intangible presence feeding off the chaos or death caused during the subsequent conflict, growing stronger or enjoying itself too much to maintain its defenses. It is possible the entire scenario was crafted to forward the ends of this entity, should it exist.

Very little of use was found among the wreckage. The GIR transport was unfortunately destroyed by a panicking trooper. The on-base computer offered only a single garbled transmission log. Before evacuating the facility, I activated the self-destruct sequence, in order to send a message to whom-or-what ever is behind this that their little game will not be played without cost.

Said transmission was coded using a type-Shen encryption sequence. Message decrypts as follows:

?Commander Arkham, this is Grand General Fideau. We are sending you a small group of military prisoners. You will interrogate them the fullest extent of your abilities, and then execute them. All information will be relayed to my personal headquarters after you are finished, in compliance with your orders and with Senate wishes. That is all.?

The quotation marks were part of the original message, suggesting the message was relayed through a third party. Unfortunately, transport shuttle?s communication system was rendered insolvent. I find it quite interesting to see the Senate itself so casually implicated in these proceedings. I suggest to whomever reads this that Jedi Intelligence units be sent out to learn everything about these Arkham and Fideau characters, and who they are connected to.

I will be more specific at my debriefing by the proper authority. Until then, I choose not to make my identity clear, lest this document fall into the wrong hands.

    Operation Sitting Duck

    Status:
    Mission Accomplished

    Summary:
Given coordinates for a jump point of the Jedi convoy, our team was charged with presenting distress to entrap those who had been attacking the convoy. Upon arrival at the given coordinates the Dynamic class freighter transmitted a distress beacon - however, the distress at this point was more than ploy. As a lightsaber mishap caused multiple system failure (including life support) within the ship. I flew an X-wing as escort. As if on cue, a Citadel cruiser bearing Republic transponder codes and two Z-95 headhunters (registered to someone on Tatooine) entered the scene. After neglecting to answer several hails the Citadel cruiser finally responded. I was asked to identify myself. Upon identification I was ordered to stand down and not interfere with the search of the civilian craft. As per law, I stood down. The Z-95 headhunters where left to face off with my X-wing as the Citadel maneuvered to the Dynamic. I received a burst transmission with coordinates and an order to follow them. Then I was suddenly being fired upon. My instant reaction was to make a hyperspace jump as the Citadel had already jumped and a quick Force scan did not detect the presence of any of my team left aboard the Dynamic. I quickly entered the coordinates I had been given as I took evasive maneuvers against the onslaught. When I had broken clear I made the jump. I was unfamiliar with the area of space I had arrived in. I could vaguely sense my Master and the others, but had to rely on sensors and sweeping scans of the area because my Force senses are still being honed. I eventually discovered the location of the base on an asteroid and landed. When I arrived on the scene a battle was already in progress. I joined in the fray to neutralize the hostiles. Once the hostiles were eliminated I searched the barracks and armory finding nothing of note. Upon safe transport arrival for the team the base was destroyed. I returned in the X-wing.

    Incident of note:
Knight Shoa'neb fled the battle in our time of need. One of the hostile soldiers followed him. I do not know the nature of the exchange that occurred, but that same soldier then barricaded himself within the Citadel cruiser and blew it up shortly after Knight Shoa'neb returned to the main battle.

    GIR Intelligence
    Imperial Knights

By our Lord Emperor Eros' will,

It is with regret that I have failed in my keeping my identity a secret from the Jedi. They are now aware of my allegiances to the Imperial Knights. However, my reasoning is just. The Padawan the Jedi assigned to me was falsely accused of dark side tendencies and the theft of an artifact. I, being an Imperial Knight sworn to uphold the will of the Light side of the Force, was required to relieve my secret in order to justly defend him from the Council's injustice.

The Council sent my group to Ilum in search of a Sith artifact. While there, a test was conducted at the will of the Council to determine if any of the group was with the Dark Side. I saw through the test's illusions and refused to participate, but the coercion of the group led to a final test. After the test, we were picked up when the Jedi Archivist revealed himself to be a Jedi Master Sentinel who was spying on us. He accused my Padawan of theft of the artifact and revealed the test's nature; those who took the artifact were considered to be tempted by the dark side. This made little sense, so I intervened on his behalf. Returning to the Jedi Council on Nar Shaadaa, my Padawan and I were confronted and I feared our execution as traitors. With reluctance, I revealed my status as an Imperial Agent and prepared a defense for my Padawan.

The trial was heavily stacked against me and my Padawan, but in the end I was able to convince one member of the Council that the unquestionable loyalty of my Padawan to following the orders of superior Jedi members was an inherent good trait. Surprisingly, the Council admitted that the Padawan's poor judgement was probably due to the lack of good training given to him by the Order, but still were adamant their test was justifiable. However, the aftermath of the trial is that the Padawan is no longer under my jurisdiction, instead under the Sentinel who attempted to expose him. I also was reduced in ranks within the Jedi Order, not even considered a true member. However, my orders such as the Council knows coupled with their own information leaks have opened the eyes of the Council to possible alliances, and I am held under retainer as GIR liason. The Council accorded my rank as Imperial Knight was equivalent to the rank of Jedi Knight, however I am not to give direct orders to the Padawans anymore. So be it.

The Jedi Council have also requested I report to the Imperial Order to discuss my mission parameters with both groups. I have agreed only under the conditions that the current laws are upheld. I also still have my suspicions about the whole test and the role of the Jedi Sentinel now in command of the group...

    I await further instructions.

    Honor to the Force,

    Shoa'Neb, Imperial Knight

    Raashla,
During this troubling time, I hope you are doing well, despite the upcoming hearing.

For the first time in my Jedi training, I am completely unsure of my future. I have trusted that the Force and my training would prepare me for something that the Force would direct me to. Some purpose that its will would choose or open an opportunity for me to serve the galaxy. Now I am somewhere I have never imagined. One month of being a padawan, and I was tried for dark side crimes, almost executed. Now, my opportunities to serve the Force are less. And I don't know what is real around me. I believed I was told to investigate an artifact with the group. I believed I was told to assist Master Ssuhk on my own, but nothing was as it seemed, and I am beginning to feel lost. And I need not to, for that can be the path to the dark side, a fate which I need to stay as far away from as possible, not even by accident. Master Ssuhk did not come to my defense or confirm that he directed me before the mission. Now he is my master. Is there something wrong with me? Or am I caught in something larger than my ability to understand? Somehow, I must trust Master Ssuhk with my training, my future with the Jedi, and my life. Being a padawan is harder than I thought.

I know that you have not had this same situation, and I know you have your own soon. As a padawan, I feel that you may be the only one that could understand me.
May the Force reveal the truth and the council be clear headed in its deliberation. I know you did nothing wrong, and I look forward to working together again.
    Peacefully yours,
    HesSed

The Remnant of the Jedi Forces: (approximate)

    100,000 Younglings
    24,000 Padawans
    5,000 Jedi Knights

    4,000 Frieghters (20 people each)
100 Passenger Ships (500 people each)
    250 X-Wings (single pilot)
    250 A-Wings (single pilot)
    100 Y-Wings (single pilot)
    400 Z-95 Headhunters

    Jedi Archives 82% recovered
    Jedi Artifacts 2 recovered
Food Stores about 150 days for all accounted Jedi
Current credits in offworld funds: 9.8 million

(This may sound like a lot, but you should understand that this is out of about 6.5 million Jedi that were on Nar Shaddaa. Less than 2% of the total Jedi forces and assets are left.)

That rule was applicable when the Jedi Order had virtually unexhaustable funds.

    1) I talked with Nate some about Mason's PC. He talks like he beleives that Mason's PC has a signifigant number of Dark Side Points. I/ Akahl are fine with Mason's PC becoming a Knight *IF* he spends some Force Points to0 reduce his Dark Side score. We could say that he finish his trial during the 'down time' (if following Akahl around picking upmarooned Jedi counts as down time).

    2) By Nate and I being the last Masters, does that mean there is nobody else left in the Order who has trained an apprentice up to Knighthood?

Mason: Budget is the amount I posted that you guys have in offworld accounts, 9.8 million credits.

Chris: I've talked with Mason, he will be (in character, but out of game) meditating on his actions to reduce any Dark Side score he might have. you are also correct in assuming that only yourselves, and the new Master you picked up are the only ones who've trained a Padawan to knighthood.
