As for any exclusive C3 merchandise...I have seen that MR will be selling a .45 mini lightsaber of Obi-Wan Kenobi. I've also seen a Gentle Giants mini bust of a Sandtrooper with black paldron, I believe. These will be 2 of the exclusives at C3...just in case on one knew I amnot sure as to the number that each company will be selling. I think (very hard sometimes) that there will be only 2,000 of the lightsaber. Not too sure about the bust though. If anyone can ad to this info, go for it!!

 

I would rather have a Sidious Saber. I hope they make a fx one of it in the future.

God... I hope I'm wrong, but do you think this relatively last minute announcement about Lucas is to make up for the fact that no more cast are to be announced?

Don't get me wrong... I'm thrilled that GL will be there. Just wondering what announcements are coming in the days ahead (an if I will actually be able to get a seat in the Lucas presentation).

SEAT? I will let people walk over me if I get to be in the same room as the man is.

This does make up for quite a bit. Not to sure what else to expect in the week or so ahead, they couldnt wait til the last minute to announce George, surely they want to sell more tickets and him walking through the convention center will surely push those on the fence over. Not sure even Hayden or Ewan would do that for most people. I still think they have some pretty semi-quality anouncements to make.

 

I truly hope they have more than one Q & A.

George Lucas was thought to be an impossibility... and he's coming.

Now let's all hope the rest of the impossibles might come:

Harrison Ford (highly doubtful, rumored to have been offered six figures for cons and turned down)
Natalie Portman (supposedly made a remark on Letterman about attending a con... this one?)
Ewan McGregor (busy?)
Samuel L. Jackson
Christopher Lee

I would be willing to bet money that we'll see Hayden Christensan there. Mark Hamill would not surprise me. And Carrie Fisher seems to love Lucas so you never know.

 

I won't be surprised if they pull Hayden out like they did at ComicCon.

 

That's right... he was unannounced at Comic-Con. I'd forgotten that.

Comic-con was amazing. Seeing Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, and others from no more than 20 feet away (get there early for good seats) was amazing.

One of the reasons for hoping for Natalie Portman... nearly complete my list of beautiful actresses I need to see in person.

Ewan might be able to fly over from London for a day or 2. He isnt scheduled to start there until May 20th i believe.

We have been told from day one this Celebration will be bigger and better. I feel like we may have more announcements to come. We won't get all the headliners but we should get some.

Of course after the George announcement I don't know if my heart can take much more!

Oh yeah... good point... but we can see plenty of Anakin/Obi-wan sword play in the movie. We can't see George in the movie!

 

There are going to be a lot of very short lines the day Lucas makes hs appearance.

Does anybody think that the rush (of excitement) we felt when we heard was only surpassed by the rush (of fear) felt by Gen-con staff when they heard ?
