Tucson ***UPDATE!!!!!***** THERE IS A MEETING THIS SATURDAY!

I'm updating this thread to reflect my conversation with AJM (Jacob) today (Wed) at 12:47.

There WILL be a meeting this Saturday at 12 noon at the Barnes and Noble in the Foothills Mall at Ina and LaCholla.

We will meet at the Starbucks IN the Barnes and Noble.

Hey Mike,

Jacob called me last Sat and said there was a meeting this Sat at the Barnes and Noble at the Foothills Mall at noon.

 

What? He needs to get in touch with all of us on the boards, if that's the case, because that's not cool if we have to show up on short notice.

 

Lemme clear it with the Fiancee....If somebody can give me directions then I'll (or we'll) aim to make the meeting saturday. Confirmation pending until this evening.

 

Yeesh, I totally didn't know about this. No one said a thing.

Jaster - can you clear things up?

 

Easy directions from 1-10 to the Foothill Mall Barnes and Noble --

1)Take 1-10 to the Ina Road Exit.

a)If you are heading North/West on 1-10 towards Phoenix, make a right at the end of the ramp onto Ina Road.

b)If you are heading South/East coming from Phoenix, make a left at the end of the ramp.

2)You will travel eastbound on Ina Road. Major streets you will cross will be
-Old Father
-Thornydale
-Shannon
-Mona Lisa

3) After Mona Lisa get into the left hand lane and be prepared to make a left turn at the intersection of La Cholla and Ina (New Walgreen's on left)

4) Head North on La Cholla to Mall entrance on left.

5) After making left into the mall make a left at end of "mall drive". Barnes and Noble is a rather large and obvious almost independent building of the mall. There is a Starbuck's in the Barnes and Noble. I suggest we meet there and then head upstairs to find some chairs.

 

I'm well familiar with Ina, Sistine used to live there. Oki, I'll talk to Mick tonight and see.

I can't make it (unusual, no. Sad, yes.) I was hoping the meeting wouldn't be this Saturday, or else I probably could have made it. I've had plans with my friend to go to Breaker's or two months.

I can't go, I'll tell you why after the fact because it has to do with someone that posts on theforce.net and I don't want that person to read why yet.

 

That's a little hasty to jump into. I will be talking to the officers that do make it there and to the officers that don't afterwards in PM's and such. I do want to know what's going on here. That's why I'm coming down.

 

I'll try but I am supposed to go to some surprise party I just found out about, I need to talk to Jay.

 

I'd like to point out a few things so everyone understands the importance of this meeting:

1) Voidancer is theforce.net's Regional Support Administrator for the Southwestern region. He is the direct link between you and theforce.net.

2) Voidancer and his fiancee live in Phoenix. Phoenix is in the middle of a gas crisis. People are lining up at 2 a.m. just to get gas. There are reports of fistfights and assaults over this situation. Despite the fact that it will take Void and Mick almost 2 hours and a lot of money in gas to get here. They are coming. And I know they have better things to do with their Saturday like plan for their wedding.

3) Void is an incredibly well educated, well experienced fanforcer. He runs a tight ship up in Phoenix with the help of some very dedicated folks. His experience is invaluable to the TFF.

4) Regardless of any problem you have with someone on the boards, make the meeting anyway.

If you are mift because I've been spearheading the effort to make this meeting well known to everyone, it is because Jacob asked me to do so. If I have stepped on a few toes doing this, I apologize.
