we kept our unbeaten streak alive tonight with a hard fought 27/23 victory, (first game back for this year)
so we are now 10-0


i had 9 including 2 free throws with 2 mins to go to ice the game!!!

 

Just pre-empting my victory over dashy in a tennis match to be played sometime this year ... hopefully

 

Victory? Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight......

 

That's a good idea!! Could learn a thing or two from young Meanders!

we have suffered our first defeat. last night we went down 46/40 to a team that was absolutely lucky. and i mean this from the fact that they had 1 guy score...like 21 pts in 7> 3's. (3pointers) lucky!!!

i had 5 pts and 1 really big block, but i wasnt really concerned bout the loss, cos i already had a really big win this week

Firstly, i didn't know you played Basketball

Secondly, what's a 'Big Block'

 

a 'big block' or just plain block is when the offensive players attempts to score a goal and the defensive player stops or 'blocks' the shot from going in before the ball starts its downward trajectory towards the ring......

I know this has nothing to do with Star Wars or sports but yesterday in CoD2 online i got 25 kills and 5 deaths. P-B ALL THE WAY.

 

well that certainly sucked!!!!!!
we lost another game,final score 35/23.
i had 4 pts and a steal.

that means we are now 11-2

...

Well, in cricket, my captain is still being an **** and wont let me bowl in matches, so I only managed a run-out for my efforts on sunday.

But we did however get, listen to this, one of their openers out for a Black Diamond Duck!

For those of you with no cricket knowledge, allow me to enlighten you.
A Diamond Duck is when you get a batsman out and he hasn't even faced a ball (most likely run out)
But a Black Diamond Duck is when you get a batsman out without him facing a ball on the very first ball of the innings!

And then, next over, fist ball, we got the other opener for a second ball duck! They were 2/1! (the 1 run was a no-ball from the previous over)

 

I'll pay that.

 

Updating my cricket scores.

Chasing a poor yet modest total of 120, our openers went to work from the word go, with one of them notching up his half-century (including 8 fours) before we even hit drinks. The other opener was on a comfortable 20 or so.

After drinks we needed only about 30 more runs when one of the openers got out caught at shortish point for 23. From there we were a bit sluggish and lost another 3 wickets before reaching the required runs. Our other opener got out for a well made 70 and the batsmen 3,4 and 5 got out for scores of 5, 8(?) and a duck.

The finer details are a bit messy from about here, that is until I strode to the crease (i'm 9 in the order). Coming in a at a time when the openers come back into the attack, the cut-shot got a real work out. A glorious shot through slips granted me my only boundary of my innings.

After a terrible call reminiscent of Katich on Friday night I was forced to take a dive (you should see my elbows!) to the crease, and was lucky to have made it in. After going past my highest ever score in a proper match (it was always 13*) my confidence soared and my shots got a little more sneaky and crafty. Such as one ball from their leggie, pitching short on middle, spinning out to off, and me working it to go around first slip and causing him to fall over in the process.

Then I ran out of partners and went off with a glorious 20* (it was really 23* but the scorers got me mixed up with two of my partners ) and the years batting average sitting nicely on 19.

The opposition went back in to bat and my captain finally handed me the ball. From my two overs I had figures of 0/1 with a dropped catch (keeper was being stupid, tried to keep up to the stumps off of me, and I am bowling pace with a new, swinging ball. ) and a dodgy LBW decision (It under the knee roll on middle stump )

So apart from the scorers, my day was great

 

14 races in my Dirt circit car. 12 first 2 seconds ( both of which I started from the rear of the grid )
and yes there was more than two cars ....13

 

Would be cool to come watch sometime, Tyken! Love Dirt Circuit!! Watched quite a bit of it when I was living up North!

 

Drift is great to see but this was DIRT circit. more cars , more mud, no safety
