    So are high altitude aircraft tires such as airliners, military fighter jets, and the space shuttle. Does anyone know why?

    Nitrogen is lighter than air and allows for less weight to be taken up into the higher atmosphere. It creates a natural weightlessness that allows for less friction. Its also because Nitro is a different sort of gas that can be packed at higher levels into tires for a higher pressure and a more stable and reliable tire.

    Cars and trucks dont need nitrogen because they are ground based. Its also extremely potent when mixed with fire. Basically if you have a fire already on board an airship of some sort...you're screwed already. If you had 4 bombs on every car..well boom.
