Using Hayden in all three Prequels

Is it just me, or would it have made more sense to have Anakin be 16-20 years old in TPM? That would parallel Luke's age in ANH. Also, Hayden would have been used in all three episodes. I think that would make his character a little more believable.

Plus, I was never sold on that kid that played Little Anakin.

Most of us feel this way, but Lucas made what he wanted. I'm cool with it now.

It's just you. TPM wasn't meant to parallel ANH, it was meant to show where Anakin came from, and that he was once a nice little boy.

I agree that having a consistent actor helps a lot. One of the great things about the OT is seeing Mark Hamill make the transition he does from farmboy in ANH to Jedi Knight in ROTJ.

I have a harder time associating Hayden's character with Jake Lloyd's.

 

Nah, would have been better if he was first seen as a troubled teen who grew up a slave w/ a single mother.
