V for vendetta knife effect

    I searched on the net for this one.I really like it, and wanna make it on my upcoming movie.Is there any way I could do it?

    Hm. Seems like you'll have to do quite some frame blending. You know: in After Effects, rotoscope the movement of your knife. That means, have your footage in your composition, and create an animated mask that follows only the movement of your knife. When you're done, duplicate your footage, set the duplicate's oppacity to around between 5 or 20 %, and move it one frame back. Duplicate and move it back again, as often as you need to do it. Looking at that picture, I guess you'll have to do this about ten or twenty times.
    Then, place your original footage under it, and bam! That's it.

    I could try to make a short test.

    I forgot to mention that unless you work with between 60 and 90 fps, it's not gonna look too great.
