I just started watching V. I looks cool so far. I saw this article today also. It was a fun related read on V. http://www.chicagotribune.com/entertainment/chi-tc-tvcolumn-v-1102-1103nov03,0,7062976.story
I don't know, Noel, the original V was pretty intelligent. I watched it again this past weekend in Sci-Fi and it holds up! Now, V:The Final Battle and V:The Series...that's where it got a little silly... I think I'm going to like this new one! I loved the knock on Independence Day...when I first saw Independence Day, I absolutely thought it was a V rip-off!
Good show last nite. I can see influences from "War of the Worlds", "Independence Day", "MIB", and other sci-fi stories. I like the "can't trust anyone" theme; sorta like, "who's a cylon?" Looking forward to seeing how the season progresses. btw - good looking V's!
hmmm...maybe i'll take a look at old-school V. I'm afraid it might not hold up with my childhood expectations on how great it was. Ever see Jason of Star Command or Space Academy. Great when you were 8...not so much now.
This week's episode was fun to watch. I saw some connections with the "The Matrix" - a 5th Column traitor was throwing out terms like 'reconnected' and 'bliss', and one of the protagonist was talking about how they used it as a 'form of control'. And oh boy, is that young blonde V a hottie! The V's sure are manipulative!
