Has anyone else been watching V on Tuesday nights? I remember the original series and watched it to see how the storyline would flow. It's been ok, but last night's show really hooked me! Unfortunately, there is one more episode until sometime after the New Year.
I need to watch this, the origional was a great show, but I haven't had time to watch this yet. It does look awesome though.
I've seen some of the original and was hoping to catch the new one. By the commercials it looks great. Hopefully they will put it on Netflix and I can watch it then.
With alot of shows it seems I just wait for the DVD and watch it as I can... I'm sure it'll show up on HULU eventually.
Anyone who is interested, TARGET is selling the ENTIRE run of the original V saga (both mini-series and the 19 episode TV series) for either $5 or $10. Special this week. The 1st mini-series is still relevant and moving, if the production values a bit dated. The 2nd mini-series is rather contrived and soap opera-ish. The TV series is pretty laughable. Series creator Kenneth Johnson has actually penned a sequel novel that picks up after the 1st mini series (as he was not involved in mini series 2 and the subsequent TV series) where a second alien race comes to Earth to challenge the Visitors and perhaps make their own bid for the planet.
It's pretty good. They have a good share of tv shows both current and old, plus they have a boatload of movies that increases everyweek. No advertising or anything like you get on the free ondemand from time warner. Some of the stuff is in hd depending if your internet connection can handle it.
I finally got to watch the original 1983 miniseries. Fascinating seeing the similarities and differences between the two series.
