Very true, but we'll probably see or hear of his affect in the upcoming films or books. Maul in Shadow Hunter shows a loy of weaknesses. He underestimates his enemy, and is afr too overconfident. His focus gets to caught up in his hatred at the moment to see the future. Without Sidious/Palpy as his master Maul would be even more shortsighted.

Okay, I didn't read all posts, will do, though. Regarding Maul: Come one, guys, the man is much more inexperienced than Vader. But he is good, at least in my book. Someone else said that in a duel Vader would use the Force to defeat Maul. Was it Leia, who in NJO said that the Jedi's weapon is his/her mind? What is inferior about using the Force? Unfair? Nope. Maul could use it too, if he wanted to. Also, what I noticed, is that Vader always uses a defensive stance with Luke. And defense is the key to victory. Maul would stand no chance.

Regarding height: Depends on how tall you are, actually. I am short and I found D. Prowse pretty tall, despite wearing high heels and I know a lot of people who are almost two meters tall. Anyways, doesn't matter.

 

Something else that would probably work to Vader's favor, he was trained by both Obi-Wan and Palpatine. He got both perspectives while Maul only got one.

 

Vader is great because he is such an imposing character.

I'd like to see Vader/Skywalker fight in a batttle with 2 lightsaber's, I believe by doing so, it shows his skill, and it also would be a bad@ss fight.

nobody ever said he did obi-wan only said

"vader HELPED the EMPIRE hunt down and destroy the jedi knights"

until Lucas proves otherwise I do not accept that vader wiped out all the jedi! nobody ever said THAT he just helped he undoubtly killed some jedi but COME ON he didn't wipe out an entire order by himself! who do you people take him for, he's strong and all but he's no super bot! prove me wrong give me evidence that he killed an entire order if you ask me it was the EMPIRE that did that, he only HELPED!
