Both are possible scenarios, but the first does make sense...it could be a Force vision, where one of the new characters are facing a situation where he might be the next Vader if he fails in becoming a true Jedi.

    Dream sequence/vision or nothing. Nothing.

I get the feeling Luke is going to have to "face his demons" in some way shape or form. Not to go too off topic but could the scenes at Skellig Michael be Vader's Fortress retreat on the shoreline of the western sea?

The chances of this being true are 3,720 to 1!

    Never tell me the odds!

I bet JJ and the crew visit this forum when they are drunk, for laughs.

I belive that this rumour is true and that we will see Darth Vader in Episode VII.
Think about it from a marketing perspective: A trailer in which Vader is seen, new Darth Vader toys, cups, T-Shirts... Bringing the most iconic movie-villain back does make sense.

But I believe that Vader will only make an appearance in a vision Luke has, similar to the vision he had on Dagobah. Maybe this is the cause for Luke to be in exile. He is haunted by visions of Darth Vader and believes that he may succumb to the Dark Side just like his father or that at least someone he trains might become like Vader.

As long as they aren`t drunk while writing scripts I`m happy.

You never know, brother. My completely legit sources have scooped this bit from the first page of the screenplay.

I think there is more than drinking involved in this case.

Just been mulling this over, and IF (massive IF) this is true, the only way I can see it working is a parallel to the Dagobah cave scene. Luke failed in the cave but didn't fall... maybe a new kid will fail just as Luke did, but then subsequently fall to the darkside??

And regarding Sheamus being the guy in the suit - anything is possible. He has the build, he's done it before apparently, and even though he was due to start a major storyline feud in WWE, they sent him home for 2 weeks with "flu".... 2 weeks, that's some serious flu. ;)

The arguments for Vader being in film are strong. I think that it could be a Bounty Hunter or new Stormtrooper armour which was rumoured.

I am also one of those that believes if Vader appears, it could only be in a vision, or nightmare type dream. I just… Can't imagine a way that they'd be able to believably shoehorn Darth Vader into the main plot of the movie. It would literally be a direct contradiction to almost the entire plot of ROTJ.

An army of Vader Troops would actually be an effective strategy.

While I highly doubt this is true, I would be fine with seeing a set of armor for the villain that is inspired by Vader's. But to actually use the same is just gimmicky.
