Looks pretty good. I have the ANH version by Master Replicas and this one looks pretty good. Good materials too.

    Excellent detail on the model.

If you're going for photorealistic, though, the textures themselves seem quite "prepackaged". Particularly the noise. If you can still alter that, I'd play with it some more and try to steer it more towards random and organic patterns rather than how it is now.

    Just some friendly advice.

All and all, not bad at all.

I like the bumpiness you have on the black parts... but the other parts are not "chrome" enough. There are pics all over the net but look at MR website:

This is as good as a reference you'll get. They modelled their replicas after the exact same prop.

Perhaps it's the lighting, but in the top one, the black texture just doesn't look right to me. IMHO.

Looks pretty good. You've captured the feel very well. My only complaint would be the 'tubes' like the emitter. You can see the iterations if that's the correct word. Try adding a few more to smooth it out.

Thanks for your comments and advice!

Im not very good at making materials and textures, I tend to use the default ones in 3ds max and tweak them a bit.

    The model is 4755 Polygons

    :)

Practice and experimentation is the only way to get good, with texturing or anything else. Also, tutorials are our friends.

Yeah, tutorials are our friends :)

For those of you that might be interested, the model is completly made out of 1 object (a cylinder). I love making models out of 1 object, but is it good to do this? I guess for higher detail you would use lots of objects. I did intend this to be a low-medium detailed model.

Well, at low-medium quality, it's great. But for photorealizm, it won't do in a close up.

(Not that I've done ANYTHING that will do in a close up)
