Hi Vana!! Where have you been? We've missed seeing your work! I very much like Lt. Sunber--it's a wonderful character study. He looks so starched and proper, just as an Imperial officer should. The work on the uniform is wonderful (**envious of your drapery!**), and I really like his hair! Great coloring, too--another fine piece!

I had exams and I didn't have enough free time to draw

I want a Sunber icon but there isn't any! Who can I contact to create one in the icon list?

 

I was going to suggest that you check in with the Official Icon thread over at the JC Communications forum, but I see that you already have! If you're looking for an artist to make one up, check with the moderators there--I'm sure they're all familiar with the most popular/successful icon artists, and could recommend someone to you. Ha! Hi Vana--and what have you been doing with yourself all this time!? Seems like forever since I've seen your thread on page 1--and a welcome surprise it is!

I am so loving the Chiss smuggler!! What a great get-up for him: part soldier (the armor), part smuggler (the "Han Solo" vest and slacks) and part pirate (the tell-tale belt and buckle, and that great headband/scarf!)!! Awesome work with the costuming! The toothpick (or whatever that is) clenched in his teeth is another wonderful touch--makes him appear pretty tough! This is great--and certainly not how we usually see the Chiss depicted, which is another thing that makes it so great! A wonderful study (and now I'm curious about this fellow! lol!)! Welcome back!

Excellent work on the armor, Vana!! Great detailing, and wonderful form underneath too! I don't know if I asked this before or not: are you using colored pencils to color these in? They look just fabulous, with superb blending and tonal quality! Another wonderful piece!

I colored the drawing with a thin paintbrush. I don't know if the word exists in english, but the technique is called "aquarelle" in French (I don't know the translation ^^")

Nice portrait (sort of looks like the one sitting on his parents' table at home--their boy in uniform!)! I've probably asked this before, but how do you color these? It almost looks like watercolor washes--very nice tones and shading.

This is an Atton Rand (from Kotor 2, star wars video game) with no colors (well, I didn't have any scanner so i had to take a photo... it looks purple now) and a Chibi Atton

Very nice linework of Atton Rand (and I don't mind purple! )--nice pose, nice expression! And the little Chibi one is too cute! The card between the fingers and that face really define this as Atton! The coloring on that one is very pretty--lots of nice detailing and shading! Well done on them both!

These are great! I'm not familiar with Janek or other game characters, but I do know Thrawn, and you did a great job with him. I like seeing him in other situations, or Chiss in general
