Okay, I haven't gotten beyond drooling over the 4 PAGE FOLD OUT PICTURE yet, but as I was carefully and gently bringing it into the house, I noticed the Hummer ad on the back...

All that it shows is the open bed of a black H2 Sport Utility Truck and up in the sky dominating most of the ad it says, "WOOKIE SIZED." [face_plain] [face_laugh]

Now, granted, they spelled Wookiee wrong, but still! [face_laugh]

I read a cool article how they couldn't get all the cast members together for that shot so they had to do groups of them and then add them into the photo.

They've always done those fold-out covers that way. Presidents, Oscar Winning Actresses, one of the Friends covers, etc.

I just have to ask... whose idea was it to put Jar-Jar as the central figure in the pull-out?????

I picked up my copies at Borders. I've only seen last month's issue with Ahnuld & Mahreeuh at King's/Safeway/Albertsons.

Upon further scrutiny of the VF cover, I've noticed a couple of upgrades to Mr. Vader's gear. The chest box has been modified with a green indicator light as opposed to the OT blue, but there also appears to be an additional blue illuminated 'coin slot' between the red & green illuminated lights on it as well.

Also, the belt boxes seem to have had their silver control knobs replaced with 2 each of red, green, & yellow led's.

    Hmmm...fascinating...

Good call, Stacy. Episode 3 Vader was speculated, but it looks like a bad fan-made suit. What is up with his helmet? Yuck! Check out the widow's peak (on the faceplate in the cover pic).

You can also really tell who got photoshopped in as well. But good spread.

I dunno, Kev. I think that might be the newly redesigned helmet. I've freeze-framed the Ep III trailer more times than I care to admit in public, and as near as I can tell, it's the same one on the VF cover. I'll have to watch the Ep III tidbit on Vader on the OT discs again to see if I can spot anything to the contrary.

The VF chest box is definitely NOT the one in the teaser for RotS, though. That much, I can confirm.

Interesting that Jimmy Smits made the cut. He must do more than decorate the blue screen in Ep III this time around.

We should make a huge blow-up RMFF banner of that fold-out, and superimpose ourselves in costumes among the cast! Hey, if VF can do it, why not us!? FLOL!!!!!
