I think we have a photographer at this stage, though I could be wrong.

June will issue 'protocals' at the start, telling us what we can and cannot do, and in this day and age we all must be careful. Smiles are the order of the day and laughter. Lets make this good.

I would think that the taking of photos with the kids would not be permitted due to privacy and child protection.

But outside with just SAFFers .. go for your life!

So long as you are with us in teh foyer, you will be allowed in.

I agree Toddi, these special children must be protected at all costs.

We have been asked to enter from the side street, not the front entrance. If you do that, you will be fine.

It will be fine, trust me. Its gonna be a great day for us and the kids. I believe there are others in costumes, but characters. This is going to be wonderful fun!

Well what a great day, the kids were so cute, and there were a couple of moments when I almost broke down and cried, plus all the hugs and the photo's with the children, simply a wonderful experience. Now although I couldn't take any photo's during the whole event....these are the few photo's from Guri Cam taken in the Green Room whislt getting ready.

Today was the most awe inspiring and amazing day I have had in many years. Not only the shear joy these kids find in life but the courage and pride they have in the face of adversity. I was humbled by it all. I had one little tell me through her mother (sign language) that I was the most beautiful thing she'd ever seen. I did cry. She looked up at my like I was a goddess, and my heart swelled for this tiny angel. I went back to work on the way home and told Tyken about it and we agreed that next year he was taking the day off to do it. He so wanted to be part of it.

Thank you to those who came, it was a wonderful turn out and an incredible day. The photos are awesome Guri and I look forward to seeing Darth Meanders' pictures as well.

Out of all of the kids who asked me "which character are you?", the only guesses they had were

1. Mace Windu
2. Darth Maul
3. Yoda

not to be mean, but do i look like any of those characters?

LOL Sabre, "Mace" had me in fits!

It was a wonderful day, and the big smiles and happy eyes were wonderful. I had a little boy just come running up to me and hugging me without even saying one word to me, and another I had one little boy come up to me who had a seeing disability, he stared up at me and said. "Your Ceremonial Princess Leia."
Then there was one who hugged me and said: "You are so beautiful."

It was so wonderfully beautiful I smudged all my mascara today, (not to mention the paint from my poor buns and the chocolate ice-cream.)

It was a great day, and I hope I can make it again next year.
