I don't know about the last 30 minutes rule for the GAT...I wasn't allowed to leave in the last 5 minutes for the Physics exam, it could be the same for the GAT.

Might just be for the 'serious' exams then...

If I ever had to so something like that again I'd be tempted to walk out of it with 31 mins to go even if I hadn't finished.

    hawk, what happened at the pub? was my dancing too much? 8-}

Glad to see the Generally Annoying Test was completed effectively throughout the state... did anyone feel they actually failed???
Why is it that we must endure 3 hours of that ***** when in reality it counts towards nothing. Personally I feel it ruined a whole week of severe bludging and was not to my taste AT ALL.

Next year the GAT should be confined to either:
    - A naked lap of the school oval on a cold morning
    OR
    - A beer drinking contest
    OR
    - A bikini contest
    any other suggestions

Maths Methods, yes. And it was damn easy, too. I knew there was a reason I do Specialist Maths. ;)

BTW, SAC stands for School Assessed Coursework. It replaced the CATs as the internal assessment. The idea was to replace those massive projects which people spent dozens of sleepless nights working on with predominantly exam-style tests which people spend dozens of sleepless nights studying for. :p

That doesn't count. :p Unless it was designed by VCAA, which Unit 1/2 exams generally aren't, then you don't have anything to be worried about. :)

Started Unit 4 today. Seems that this term is going to be easy. Then again, I did do two terms in one last time around. ;)

    Far too much maths

Unfortunately, you won't receive your GAT results until December 16, along with your final VCE results. Mid-year results come out August 12, I believe.

So tell me my Victorian peeps, comrades in Huggard's Heros, how is VCE treating thee?

Tell me, who else does Biology 3&4?

Of those who do, who'd agree it is the easiest of all the subjects that get marked up by so far, it makes Psychology students cry?

    I'm not crying.

I just learnt today that Literature gets marked up big time. As do langauge classes. I did not know this, and I do Lit! On top of English too.

Where can you find out how all the subjects are scaled?

I found out from my English teacher. There may be something on the VCAA site, but I haven't found it yet.

At this time there is but one thing for me to say.
Ha Ha! I do not have to do exams! Well, not yet. Please tell me they aren't as horrible as they're made out to be. They can't really be that bad, can they?

    Laifir: Don't stress

This is the NEW VCE in which - depending on your subjects - you actually do very little. As a humanities.... academic (hey, it sounds better than dropkick) I do practically no work other than preparing for SACs and Exam studies (btw I had no mid-years either). It makes for a better year in which you can focus more on your social life than ever before!

Exams are only as hard as you make them. Effective study is the key such that you may study less than your counterparts and learn more... figure out how to do this now.

For anyone who feels my study plan is flawed, please feel free to do so, but I did get a 50 for IPM 3+4 when doing it in yr 11, so it worked for me.

Hmmm, yes, and all too fast my dear Brutus! Damn this VCE. Damn the fact that I have to finish on practically the last day of exams (21st Nov - Politics) and damn the fact that we only have a handful of days in which to make the final preparations for English... Bloody language analysis...
