Had the probability SAC a while back, I managed to get 45 out of 50 for it. I've got high hopes for Methods, largely due to the fact that it pales in comparison to the complexities and finer points of Specialist Maths.

Completed my October tests yesterday. Thank god for that. I did okay in my English pratice exam earlier this year. I got high marks for Text Response Part I and Writing Task Part II, the rest need improvement.

Get my Literature SAC back today, and my Drama Solo Performance Solo is on the 30th of this month. I've got the be at the place at 8:30am. The torture!!!!

Methods was my worst Year 12 subject. If I can recall I got E's for my exams and a C for the cat. Exams are much better. You get through it in an hour and a half, even if you almost fail. The cat took weeks and wasn't worth my time!

Methods, bloody methods... it's my 7th subject and I still can't get rid of it... it takes up too much time, involves too much thought, and is run by one who has that 70's porn star look to him...

And wasn't it worthwhile, RP? You, me and an Indian watching Pakistan vs Australia. Firm effort indeed. Hayden and Ponting weren't getting a run a ball though, which is below par for the Australians...

I've done some homework anyway, some stuff on Light&Matter (yes! I understand it! At last!) and a bit of probability...all I need to know for the upcoming SACs, my final math-science sacs. Looking forward to it. If you know your stuff then you should be right, isn't that true?

Ah, light and matter. I'm forever going to treasure the memories I have from my Compton Effect SAC, especially since it's not even on the course. Matter has wave properties, apparently...genius, pure genius!

You did a SAC that wasn't course-related?Whoa, that's putting it a bit far...!

Such are the trials and tribulations of studying at an elitist school, my dear JE.

Did anyone go to the "history: revolutions" lectures today at Melbourne Uni? Reign, brutus, anyone?

    It was rather firm...

Everyone's doing 2 hours of stuff. I should be into 2 hours of Javascript, and 2 hours of Cisco. But I'm not. Instead I'm on Mafia.

Hawk you must be some kind of genius, doing specialist! I was considering it, but ended up just doing general and methods. Doing them two, methods makes general look like childs work. Is specialist the same to methods?

I'm finishing General this year and planning to do Specalist in Year 12. I haven't had any trouble with General this year so I dont think methods will be too hard. Specalist on the other hand.....

Just a little story for you guys.

My brother in Year 12 did: methods, specialist, chem, physics, and english (of course), which made it extremely heavy on the brain. He proceeded to do a uni course in engineering, but was exhausted with school from a heavy VCE and dropped out half year only to keep his first year HECS fees. The same happened again when he went straight into a science degree.

For those heading into yr 12 next year, make sure you have a lot of fun to get you through. And those heading out of year 12, try to have a good break before getting back into it. If you're already not looking forward to uni, consider taking a year off. You WILL go back if that's waht you really desire, just do it at the right time.

I do Methods, Specialist, Physics, Business Management and English. It's not quite as heavy as the double maths/sciences people, but it's still intense. I was completely aware of this going into this year, and I made a resolution to have more fun this year then any other year yet. It's paid off. ;)

Now is not the time to be out partying however, I too am aiming for a degree in Engineering, and I need a decent score to get into the particular branch I'm interested in (Aerospace). In less than two weeks, the most important exams of our lives begin, so now is the time to slow down on the socialising a little. I'm probably going to defer next year, so I've got an entire year to forget everything I've learned thus far (with a little help from my good friends Jim and Jack).

And yes, Specialist makes Methods look like child's play. :p

    Right on brother!

You engineers are about the only ones who need to go well in VCE. Everyone else can pass as a mature age student later down the track. It's a cheats way - but it works!
