The two fighters left were fit to be tied, and fired as if they intended to melt their guns

The walls closed in.....the crevasse was narrowing sharply

 

I sat the X-Wing on her port gun-pods and ran the gauntlet as long as I dared

 

Unfortunately for my nearest pursuer, no matter how you roll an Interceptor....they're still wide

 

It ended looking like some kind of burning comet bouncing off those canyon walls

 

Just then, my end of the canyon came to a nasty end

 

"SHNITERDS!!!!!"

 

With the X still poised at one-quarter roll, I stood on the pedals, and she brutally went vertical, port-side down

 

So stunned were the fighters topside when I emerged, that they broke in every direction

 

It was a good thing, too, because it took R6 several seconds to revive me

 

His nearly incoherent(and very loud!)rantings stumbled into my clouded mind

 

I shook off the fog, and told R6......

 

"The next time you mod the ship like this, DEAL WITH THE STABILIZERS, TOO!!!!"

 

Before I could right the ship, we had almost gone completely over the backs of the fighters, who were reforming to attack

 

"Feel free to take the helm if that happens again, OK, R6?!"




*Bleoup!*

 

With sweaty hands, a gut that wanted out, and prickly skin, I power-slid the ship back down to get on the tails of the fighters

 

Most of them had not been able to keep up, and were still in their turns

 

Imp pilots turn very meticulously, and as such are fairly easy targets

 

Since if you know their turns, you can predict were they are gonna end up

 

I had widened my turn, reduced speed, and had vaporized three ships before the others broke opposite

 

Soon, we had quite a 'furball' going on, and I opted to end this frackas

 

Instead of pulling up on one of my dives, and plowed nearer the deck, and bolted away
