SWRPF Archive Vengeance (Sequal to the Plan for Power - anybody join)

A few months before now, King Agmel of Madrine was murdered, and Jedi had been sent to investigate. By the time they were done and the mission was over, a plot had been uncovered by the Jedi. Jerill Durrango, advisor to Crown Prince Imalka, had planned to kill the Royal Family and become King himself. But his plan discovered.

As Jerill attempted to escape, one of the Jedi managed to stop him, cutting off his legs just below the knees. Left alive, Jerill was taken into custody.

By the end of this trying mission, Crown Prince Imalka had been killed, and Prince Janick was brought out of hiding to take the position of King.

As Jerill lay healing in a high-security cell with medical facilities awaiting trial, he knew his day for freedom would come. And when that day came, the Jedi would pay for what they had done to him.

And so, Vengence begins...


The characters that are available are Jedi, pirates who follow Jerill, Bounty hunters, basically anything you want. It takes place about 50 years before the events in the Jedi Apprentice books. I want the following information:

Background Info: Not much is known about Death Scavenger, except he is part human and part mandalorian. He is a bounty hunter who will take any price as long as the bounty is a "challenge" to acquire. He wears mandalorian armor that is like Jango Fett's except it is black and red. On an unknown bounty mission he acquired a lightsaber and by tampering with it for awhile he made the blade invisible.

Description: Slightly taller for his age he has brown hair and eyes. He has an almost invisible scar on his left cheek from an accident years ago.

Information: Born on Alderaan he has no memories of the place or his parents after being taken to the Jedi Temple at a young age. He is a shy boy, hesitant to show any of his abilities even if just practicing. He also has gotten ahold of a robe thats a bit to large for him, allowing him to hide hismelf within it. Has a great potential with his lightsaber though the shyness keeps him from practising often. He also has an almost natural ability in force absorptiion and telekenisis, but his shyness causes his abilitys in manipulating other peopels minds and body ((Mind tricks, telepathy, those things)) to be rather poor. Hes also at the age where he needs to find a master or be kicked out of the temple.
He is also one of the Jedi to participate in mission to Madrine which gave him his first real field experience, and for a while drew him out of his shyness into a role of a Jedi, which he performed rather well, Able to find a hidden passage behind a water fall and later protect the Queen as she fleed the temple. Unfortuantly after returning to the temple he easly slid back into his old routine of shyness for the most part though on few occasions he has improved. Time draws near for him to find a Master to take him on as a padawn or he will be sent to one of the Corps.

Background info: Sierra was born on Dantooine. During a raid by pirates in which her parents were killed, the infant was taken to live amongst them and grew up to learn the ways of her captors. They became her family until during a raid on a facility on Thyffera, all were killed and she was left once again the sole survivor of her kin.
Angry and vengeful, Sierra turned to the ways of the independent mercenaries to sustain herself.
She is strong-willed; merciless; loyal only to herself and her employer of the day.

 

Good. This will be more fun, at least to me, than the Plan for Power. I like this variety of characters. Let's wait for more to join, and the action will likely start next week.

As I have some time on my hands, I will get things rolling.

IC:
Jerill Durrango sat in a hoverchair waiting to learn what his fate was to be. His arms were bound to the chair in three places, the wrist, the elbow, and around his biceps, and he found it to be very uncomfortable. It was also next to impossible to move. His legs had been left unbound, for they had been sliced off at the knees when he had fought the Jedi Master Ni-Tao Saun.

As Queen Scathia, her son King Janick, and Captain Slader returned to their places in the courtroom, Jerill recalled how suprised he had been an hour earlier when a sixteen-year-old boy had taken up the judgement seat, and Scathia had sat beside him on a slightly lower level. One of the guards near Jerill had told him that Janick was taking up the duties of King, under the guiding eye of his mother, the Queen. And his first duty as King was to pass judgement on Jerill and his men that had been captured.

Unlike the trials for relatively petty crimes, where lawyers presented evidence for and against the convicted, the evidence of the crimes Jerill had committed, and the severity of those crimes, had allowed for a Sovereign Trial, meaning the evidence was to be presented to the ruler of the system, who then decided if the convicted was guilty or innocent, and what punishment was to be carried out. Jerill knew his punishment would be harsh, to say the least. He had thought he'd protected himself from suspicion, especially when he'd managed to get the Jedi to go after an innocent man, but he didn't expect Crown Prince Imalka to betray him, or that the datacards with his plans would be discovered.

As King Janick began to speak, Jerill felt something hit him on the neck at the hairline. He supressed a smile, knowing he'd just been tagged with a locator device. Things had been set into motion.

"Former Advisor Jerill Durrango," King Janick began, "I have reviewed the evidence against you and found you guilty on the following charges: murder, treason, attempted murder, sabotage, bribery, deceit, accessory to murder, smuggling, blackmailing, encouraging impersonation of Palace personnel, misuse of power, destruction of property, obstructing justice, resisting arrest, and conduct unbecoming a member of the Royal Court. What do you have to say for yourself?"

"Your Majesty, all these crimes I have committed for the good of the kingdom." Jerill answered.

"Explain."

"I have done what I have done because Crown Prince Imalka never wanted to be king. You can ask him yourself. Is it good for a kingdom to be ruled by one who does not want to rule?"

"My brother had been killed by one of your men. All those who had followed you have been convicted and executed." Janick said, anger rising in his voice.

"Imalka's dead?" Jerill looked down for a moment, showing genuine grief over Imalka's death. Then he looked up, a strong conviction in his eyes. "Despite what you may think of me, I did care for the boy. And he truely did not want to rule."

"You have no one to defend your actions, Jerill Durrango." Janick told him. "You are hereby sentenced to be taken to the town square, where you will be placed in stocks and publicly humiliated. You will be given a poison that will give you a longer and moe painful death than what King Agmel suffered, and your body will be dumped into Castle Lake to be ripped apart by the lake dragon who dwells therein."

Anger rose in Jerill, and had it been possible, he'd have stood to face the boy king.

"Your plans for my demise will not be carried out. Things have been set into motion you cannot stop. I will be a free man again, and when I am, I will return to exact vengeance upon you and all those who brought me to this point!"

"Captain Slader," Janick said, turning to the Captain of the Royal Guards, "escort the convicted to the town square and carry out his sentence."

Twenty guards, including Captain Slader, surounded Jerill to be sure he would make it to the town square to suffer for his crimes. When they got outside, four grenages were throw

 

OOC: Okay i'm changing death Scavenger's lightsaber from invisible to silver. I think i'll move this thing along also.

IC: Death Scavenger stood in the town square with his blasters out in his hands. He looked around for any new guards to come into the area. He was hired by some people who called themselves the Shadow Phantoms, for the time being his job was to throw the smoke grenades that he just threw and then to protect some of the members of the Shadow Phantoms as they went in to recover some guy. Two guards came around a corner, "What the-" the guard was cut off as Death Scavenger blasted him in the head, the other guard shot at him, but he just quickly side stepped the shots and shot the other guard in the throat. He glanced at the smoke, Come on, come on! They better hurry up before the entire royal guard force was on them, he thought to himself. The men came out with a man slung over one of their's shoulder, jogging to get away as fast as they could. As they did so, death Scavenger shot some more guards as they appeared, why was he doing this again? this wasn't a challenge, he asked himself, then he remembered. Ah, thats right, it wasn't a challenge but had a very good pay. He needed some credits to repair a few minor dents in his ship 'Wings of Death'. The men hopped aboard a small land speeder and sped away. "Finally." He ignited his jetpack and took off behind the land speeder, snipering any guards on the ground as he flew covering his mysterious employers. "They did say they might need me some more and to stick around, wonder what they had in mind." He continued covering them until they were out of the city they were in.

Siefer stood in a defencive stance his lightsaber held high all he could see was the yellow glow from his lightsaber and the red from his apponent's, Siefer named his apponent Red. Red took a step forward and slashed at Siefer. Siefer easily blocked the blow, red was tiring, sweat was pouring down Siefers face its now or never he thought Siefer slashed and hit Red. Yes I did it Siefer thought. The lights turned on his apponent was Jason Solo Luke Skywalkers nephew. "well done Siefer" Jason said.

 

OOC: Wrong time period there MSS. We are set in Republic time, a good handful of years before EPI if im guessing mytimeline right, I havent read the Apprentice books but assuming in those books Obis like a 12 yr old padawan, Which I think would mean our story has to be a good 60-70 years before EPI? Is my estimation any good? Heh not even Qui-Gons an aprpentice yet.


IC: Anakin sat against a wall watching quietly, his oversized robe covering him comlpleatly, as a small group of kids were receiving their lightsaber lessons. They were about 9 years old, 3 years younger then him, but he remembered when he was 9 and moved into the same class. However his class was noolonger there, Over half of them became padawans, cutting the class down to 5 people before they bumped up the next one. Now those 5 were down to three, two of the 5 had reached 13 and were sent to one of the corps to find a nice quiet job somewhere since noone took them as padawans. He and two others were still hoping somthing would happen before their time came up, but for now he sat there meditating and watching the new class.

Background info: Ni-Tao Saun was one of the Jedi assigned to investigate in the death of King Agmil. He along with Master Veign and Padawan Anakin uncovered the truth about Jerill Durrango. It was Master Saun who had personally faught the Dark Jedi and defeated the man by slicing his legs out from under him.

Bio: Xandor grew up as the son of a well known assassin. He was trained by his father and groomed for the rank of leader in his father's clan. All his life he has been taught to kill. He has no emotion, is merciless and feels no compassion or regret in his choice of career. He will assassinate any target for the right price. His father has retired and as such, Xandor Draxman leads the Organisation his father built and created.

Leiutenant Avin Smyth fired his blaster around the corner of a building, angry at the death of two of his best men. Jerill escaping took them completely by suprise.

As the beings began to take off in a landspeeder, Avin activated his comlink.

"I need Guardian Squadron in the air two minutes ago. Jerill's escaped. He is in a speeder heading west from the Justice Building."

Avin fired a final shot before they got out of range. He lowered his blaster in defeat. Jerill had gotten away. There was nothing he could do about it right now. He ran to where Slader and the other guards had been. Checking the vitals of the Captain of the Royal Guard, he activated his comlink.

"We have twenty men down at the entrance of the Justice Building. They need medical attention. I also need someone to collect two bodies." Avin ordered.

"Yes, sir. They will be on their way shortly."

The twelve one-man fighters of Guardian Squadron soared overhead as Avin returned inside the building to check with King Janick and Queen Scathia. He found them in a safe room. His men had done good to get the Royalty safe.

"What has happened, Lieutenant?" King Janick demanded.

"Jerill has escaped, your Majesty. Captain Slader was ambushed, from what I can tell. There are two confirmed deaths, and twenty unconscious guards, including Captain Slader." Avin reported.

King Janick looked to Queen Scathia. Having only been King for a short while, he did not know how to handle this situation.

"Mother, what should we do?" he asked.

"Contact the Jedi. Perhaps they can help us again with this situation like they did before. Also, put out a reward. Half a million credits for the one who brings in Jerill's head. Have that price negotiable. I want Jerill dead once and for all, whatever it takes." Scathia announced.

 

Sierra had been hired by the mysterious ones that called themselves the 'Shadow Phantoms'. Now she sat,clinging with one hand to the seat in front of her as the speeder sped off. In her other hand was her blaster and she fired off rounds as they made their escape with Jerill.
'Easy money, this one',she thought as the plan seemed to be going without a hitch. 'Mebbe I'll stick 'round'n see what else these fellas have to offer'.

 

Inside the speeder
Zar could not believe they had pulled it off. Against twenty-plus Royal Guards, they had rescued Jerill from a terrible execution. Thanks to that Death Scavanger guy. He was good. Using knock-out gas to take out the guards was a great idea.

As he piloted the speeder away from the Justice Building, Zar slowed his speed to that of the rest of the traffic. There was always a lot of traffic this time of day coming and going from Tripoly, and he took advantage of it.

Guardian Squadron

Guardian Lead was pleased at his people. They were always in the air within three minutes of being called to action. He lead his squad over the landscape, trying to locate a speeder with Jerill Durrango in it. Easier said than done.

"Squad, any signs of suspicious behavior from a landspeeder down there?" he asked.

All he got in return were a bunch of negative's. They had lost them. There was no way they could track him without finding the speeder first.

"Squad, Patrol delta. Look for anything that may be him."

Guardian Lead knew it was useless. Jerill was gone.

 

Once outside the city and traffic of the area, Death Scavenger flew through the sky as he followed the speeding landspeeder of his employers, the so called 'Shadow Phantoms'. "Wonder where we're headed. Probably the same place they hired me. Or probably not." He shrugged, he didn't care all that much, as long as he got the job done. He looked back and saw a squadron of ships flying in their direction, obviously searching for them. He pulled out a comlink and contacted the landspeeder, " We got ourselves some bloodhounds." He continued watching the squadron until they all of a sudden broke off and went somewhere else. "Hmmm, not very observant are they." He pulled out his comlink again, " Never mind, it seems the bloodhounds didn't have a good nose...or eyes. They've broke off." he announced. He thought a bit then talked into the comlink again, "Where we headed anyway?" At that moment he saw a guardian force landspeeder patroling the area. It spotted his employers. "Well, at least they were smart enough to have some kind of patrol out here." Death Scavenger smirked as he pulled a thermal detonator. The guardian speeder sped up, once a man pulled out a rifle, Death Scavenger let the thermal detonator fly and do its job. "Don't worry about those guys anymore, they were just entertainers just useful enough to supply us with fireworks." He put the comlink away. He would run out of fuel for his jetpack if they didn't stop soon. "No big problem." he remarked. He wondered how the other bounty hunter was doing.

 

Glad to see you Mitt and Detjen. You were great in the plan for power and I expect to see that greatness again. The rest of you welcome to Vengence. Marna has asked me to help her with this thread as I helped in the plan for power. I will not be posting all the time, but I will be watching and jump in when needed. Lets have fun and may the best character win.

OOC: Nice to see ya agaoin Jediloren, and I look forward to lots of fun, and I hope you and Marna have alot mroe ideas thought up because I kinda like the idea of having series of rps based on almost all the same characters.


IC: Anakin continued watching the padawans, pulling his knees up and resting his chin on them, wishing to himself he could be 3 years younger again, and not having to worry about being kicked out anymore. He didnt really want to leave the temple, unless it was with a couple Masters or two to help him along, the outside was big and scary, though he did find a little enjoyment in visiting another world. He sighed, more thoughts running through his head as the kids in front of him continued practicing.

Rule #1 - no god-moding. If your character gets in a situation where the only way out is death, that character dies, and you can create another character if you wish.

Rule #2 - I would appreciate clean language. Star Wars cuss words are acceptable.

Rule #3 - Have fun, and be creative. With a little creativity, there is nearly always a way out of a situation expressed in rule #1
