Vertical Steps Down: New Supreme Chancellor

Hey everyone,

Vertical has been with the site since early 1999. That in and of itself is to be commended - few moderators have that tenure. Unfortunately, as of late he has taken on responsibilities in his personal life which in turn means that he doesn't feel he has to offer what the JC needs as head admin at this time.

His letter of resignation was turned in this week, and a search for a replacement was immediately made. He, Philip and I have agreed on Kadue as his successor.

Kadue has now been appointed the Supreme Chancellor. He has accepted this responsibility so let's wish the best to Vertical, who will still remain in a semi-active role, and welcome the new top dog.

Philip, is Mr Philip Wise from the great website RebelScum.com. From what I read over at the Official Site and Episode-X boards, he has taken over from Mr Scott.

Kadue is an excellent choice as Supreme Chancellor successor. Everyone loves Kadue.
Except those he just banned of course.

 

2 Quick question, then:
Since Kadue was the Technical administrator under the "Supreme Chancellor" (Vertical at the time), will that 3rd admin spot be replaced?

And will Vertical be retaining his administrator status?

as for Vertical's departure, that really sucks. he's a stand up guy and a class act, and an example of how a head admin should be. imho, this is a big loss for the JC...

Yes, it will. Kadue is interviewing the managers to see who has the technical skills and the interest, then the current administration will decide. We should have a new Administrator sometime soon, probably.
