Vice Presidential Debate Poll. Who Won?

This thread has now run it's course, as well.

 

Cheney is winning this debate so far 15 minutes into the debate.

He's doing far better than Bush did.

Edwards has already interrupted Cheney, and is bumbling his words a little bit (not nearly as bad as Bush did though).

 

Man, Cheney is letting Edwards have it!

Edwards nailed Cheney by mentioning the fact that Cheney supported many of the same cuts that Kerry did.

Edwards is rattled, he's interrupting Cheney.

I would certainly say otherwise, were Edwards doing what Kerry did.

How can someone place a vote on "Who won" when the debate hasn't even reached half way point yet?

Edwards is stumbling slightly, and he needs to stop interupting. And they both need to answer the question that was asked, rather then the question they would like to have been asked.

And Cheney didn't really handle that Haliburton question well, but he has made Edwards look bad on not counting the Iraqi dead.

Cheney doing a damage limitation job on the employment question. Not a very good job though.

 

Edwards just gaffed big time in saying that they could not eliminate the deficit. (He even said he was being honest about it).

 

How was that a gaffe? He said he couldn't get rid of the deficit in one term?

What did I miss?

 

Edwards is just getting owned in this debate.

I wish I could have seen a Cheney-Kerry showdown.

Honestly, I think this debate has tie written all over it. Cheney has landed some brilliant one line putdowns on Edwards, but Edwards is now managing to bit his tongue and just stick to the facts.

That Edwards avoided paying Medicare taxes by creating a tax loophole for himself!



It's not as lopsided as Bush-Kerry was, but it's definitely being dominated by Cheney so far.

Err, yeah they were talking about the deficit, and Edwards said they could halve it. So where is the gaffe?

Ooooh, nice Cheney jab on Edwards tax avoidance, and the comeback was weak.

 

Gosh, I feel embarrased for Edwards as he's trying to explain why he's qualified to serve as VP or President...

He's coming across as shaken.

He is a nice guy, though, but he's getting his arse handed to him.

Gosh, Edwards is tearing paper during Cheney speaking, and he mentioned Kerry's name against the questioner's rule.

I voted tie-so far they're both even.

It's boring. I want to see Cheney get all red in the face and start telling Edwards to go fornicate with himself!
