As was suggested by Tyrant-The-Lesser, I decided to make this thread so we can all just chat about what we've been up to lately, how work/uni/bumming around is going. Seen a movie (better than SOAP)? Tell us! Everything sucking like a Hoover? We might say something nice to cheer you up! It might even serve for the annual final exams thread too (I know how you all love that).

I also hope that in the event of someone *new* showing up, they can introduce themselves here, and hope that we don't submit them to some kind of group singalong.


It may degenerate into spam, but it wouldn't be VicFF without it.




I'm not exactly going to start talking in the intro post, so all I'm going to do is type:


So, what have you guys been up to?

 

I got a second round interview with Ford.

Well done, Hawk- what does this Ford interview entail?

You happened to post just as I was typing, but my little bit of news is that Dymocks finally managed to get in 'Betrayal' for me.

They only had to order it in three times. It only took SIX WEEKS.
(5-10 working days, my ass...is Random usually that incompetent?)

And I saw Miami Vice. After all the rave reviews, I didn't find it all that great. Maybe it just paled in comparison to the sophistication of SoaP

 

Sitting in front of about 4 or 5 people and answering their questions about why I want to work there. Eep.

 

Remember, if you want to work at Ford you must always know: "No one knows a Ford like a Ford service specialist."

I personally thought it was pathetic. And that's without even comparing it to SoaP.

 

I've been too busy to see any film as the cinema in the last two weeks - although I do now have my sexay Nova advantage card ($7.50 showings all week, baby!). But I did watch Rope last Friday. A brilliant film by Hitchcock. The humour was superb.

 

I bought Star Wars Lego on the Xbox 360 today.Pretty much spent the day playing it.Fantastic game.Half way through Empire.

Since SOAP, I have not sullied my eyes with anything less than season six of Oz (America's worst/best/most disturbing prison show). I tell you, I'm glad they aren't making anymore. It was getting both silly and scary by the end there. Anyone else watched it?
I'm hoping that by watching how prisoners shank eachother senseless, I can find some skillz of my own and take down Random House...apart from being useless in shipping books, they make their invoices so hard to enter into any system, it takes ever inch of restraint to stop me from buring them.

Also, did anyone else happen to see that I'm being fought over in the YJCC? Weird...

 

I lost my own game in the Amph. Because I can't be banned (Sape gets very angry when his mods are game-banned ) the winner got to choose my colours... very unfortunate, huh?

I've never seen "Oz".

 

What have I been up to? Work.... And Uni placement.

Working with Toddlers and 2-3 year olds is O.K. They have taken a liking to me. Though they cannot seem to get my name right.
