FF:VIC Victorian Fires - "All Wings Report In"

I fought those fires......scarry stuff.

 

my heart goes out to all affected by the terrible fires in Victoria. I have made quite a few friends in your state & I feel for what you guys are going through. My thoughts and best wishes are with you all.

I have had some good news though, my best friend, whos brother was stuck out in the fires since Saturday is now home

 

Death toll last time I heard was 130- something.

 

so sad.

 

Deepest sympathies for all Victorians affected.

I'm sure the Star Wars community over here will get off their backsides & do some fundraising to help in some small way.

 

We visited the main relief center in our area and took along some tinned and dry food for the dogs and cats that have also been left homeless. 12 Large bags and twenty tins didn't go very far.

Still no word on my brother though, tried the missing persons registry at the center...no luck.

 

The death toll is up to 173. Donations are up to over 12 million. I hope your brother is safe vader

 

I wish to offer my sincere condolences to anyone who has lost a family member or friend due to this catastrophe, and my thoughts to those who have someone missing that has not checked in.

I just spoke to our bistro supervisor who lives in Kinglake, all of her family are fine with some damage to their home, but some of the neighbours around them have perished. She came into work because she just needed to be somewhere else keeping busy.

As I said to a mate of mine today, it's great that the nation bands together in a crisis like this, it's just a shame that it takes a crisis to do it.

 

Yeah, that says it all!

 

Thinking of all my friends in Victoria

 

Finally got through to my brother and his family...they are all OK.

They just restored power to the area, so their phones are now working again.

Seems the fire took the house next door and was across the road from them, but they managed to keep it all at bay.

 

My thoughts and prayers and with everyone in Victoria as they go through this dreadful time. My condolences to those who have lost loved ones.

 

I hope Mt. Buller hasn't gone down too, because I love that place, I went to ski camp there last year and it was the best.
I hope everyones families are okay. Donations are up to over 15 million. Wow! That's Australia for you, always binding together. I heard even little kids are taking money out of their piggies to donate.

 

Saw on the news last night, people in Flood ravaged Queensland and signing over their relief money to the Victorian Bushfire fund.

People that has lost everything are only thinking of how they can help others. Amazing spirit.
