WOOT! What a LIST! This is gonna be great! =D=

LOL at the idea of Han under the tree. [face_laugh]

Okay, nobody kill me for this, but if I could get a costume on my Beagle, could she march? [face_batting] She's very well-behaved; she LOVES people. I might be able to toss together a Jedi robe or a Jawa costume for her...something funny for a small dog.

I think that would be cute, we would probably want to check first with the parade coordinators to see if that would be okay.

I'll call the Chamber after the 1st of October to see if it's okay. That's quite a long walk on a really hard surface for a pup.

Chris is so dignified. See, he agrees to the ribbon, but not the tighty whitey's, LOLOLOLOLOL[face_laugh]

I think that Carb Han is prefect under or near the tree ( we do want the audience to see Han, after all). I know seeing Mr. Ford under my tree would make my christmas!:D

Bill was wondering about the Han in carbonite standing up instead of laying down. Might be easier to see Han in the standing position instead of lying down. Not sure how this would happen. Thank you, Mike for getting the trailer. That is great! The pup coming would be fun, also. It sounds like it will be a lot of fun. Hope the weather will be great this time.

fixed the links for ya ;)...and OH WOW! So awesome!

As far as him being visible on the float, I thought we could use sawhorses like was used at FCBD, then camouflage them with wrapped christmas presents around the base.

Chris, Darren and I need to get together with Mike (hanshotfirst) as it's his brothers(?) trailer. I've got his phone number so we can set up going out to look at it and take pictures and measurements. I'd like to have something rigged up to give you some stability, something to hang on to if you should need it. I wouldn't want you to go tumbling off!

By the way, I called the Chamber of Commerce and the theme for this year's parade is "Unwrap the Magic of Christmas"!

    I'm totally getting excited!

'Unwrap the magic of Christmas', huh? That has sooo many possibilities! [face_devil]

Maybe we could have the characters all wear bunny slippers and open presents.

You'll have to remember that we'll be moving during the parade and opening presents would be a bit difficult while marching. I think the Christmas tree with the presents (and Carbonite Han) is a nice tie-in with the theme.

I kept going to the calendar section of the VV Chamber's website. The theme has been up for a week and I missed it because I was looking in the wrong area!!

Sonya, I'm glad that at least one of us is on top of things. THANK YOU!

I know it's sort of early, but I'll post it again later, too.

Check in area opens at 8:15 and closes at 9:00 so that's our time frame to be at the line-up area. I'll figure out the logistics of parking and what-not closer to the parade date. I'll probably have most of us park at the end and carpool to the starting point. That way, there's no freezing at the end while waiting for the ride.

The parade is approximately 2 miles long and will follow the same route as last year.

More information will continue to come as we get closer.

You forgot Carbonite Han. He's a bit stiff about the whole thing, but he'll be there.

DCon is for sure. Unless KCET trags her in that day. I begged her back in August to come on out and march with us.

Not yet. The names aren't by rank and in alphabetical order. Also, I'd like you to change......

Just kidding!! You're doing a great job of keeping everything together and organized!! I like seeing the kidlettes names. It makes me happy to know they're gonna get to march with us!

Hey Minda, how's Briar Rose's costume coming along? Is she planning on being painted orange, too or just going with her own beautiful skin tone?
