In case you don't know, this is the piece that Hannibal and the Italian Policeman listen to at the opera they attend.

I think this is one of the emotional pieces I have ever heard, and was written by Hans Zimmer (who wrote the score). There is a wonderful documentary on the DVD about the score which focuses heavily on this piece.

It led me to thinking, I'd love it if Hans wrote the full opera from which this piece comes. He shows a great talent for operatic writing here - a piece which surely rivals the greatest arias by Verdi, Puccini, Mozart and Wagner.

What do you think? Any other one-off 'source' pieces you think could be enhanced to full productions?

Another one is from 'Phantom of the Opera' The Phantom writes an opera, and we only get to hear a few snatches from it, and one full song 'Point of No Return'. I'd like to hear the full opera he wrote
