I just got done making a video CD of all the AOTC trailers. I was thinking of putting my C2 movies and pics on it as well. If anyone else has something they want to see on it let me know. I would like to have a stack of them to give out at Tracey's on the 29th.

BTW - For those of you who dont't know, a VCD is basically video saved on a CD that can be viewed on most DVD players. The first thing I tried was the trailers and they look great.

Is there a Yoda with saber trailer anywhere? I looked on www.starwars.com and didn't see one, just the four with titles like "Mystery" and "love" and character ones like for R2, Jango and Mace. No Yoda character one, which makes no sense.

I'm pretty sure TFN posted a Yoda comercial. I will add that to the disc as well.

Thanks for clarifying what a VCD is--I kept wondering every time I saw that abbreviation. Freebies? You're so money!

If anyone has the tape of our original meeting that was on Fox 6 in Milwaukee I would LOVE to put that on the VCD too. If you can get me the tape before the 29th I can encode it.

Well, as you know I have an MPEG of it, but apparently it uses a proprietary codec and can't be run on any computer that doesn't have an ATI video card. However, they do offer a third-party codec you could install. Dan, if you feel like trying that out and turning the MPEG into something useful in Premiere, let me know.

Which codec? Is it free? (I just lost a contract so pennies are tight these days!)

If you can burn it onto a CD and send it to me that would be cool.

I believe it is free, but its effectiveness is not guaranteed by ATI. [face_plain]

I'll have to look up the link again. Then I'll get the codec installer and the MPEG all on one disc and personally courier it out to you.

    EDIT: Here's the link.

    Hey - good news!

I am in the process (with some help from Tom) of getting the Fox 6 video into something my computer(s) can handle. It looks like I will be able to get it onto the CD.

BTW - I found the Yoda trailer - I will try to get that on as well.

Everything is on it and I still have half a CD left. I was thinking of putting some Fan Films on it - any other ideas?

I am hoping to burn between 10 - 20 CDs. I hope that's enough for everyone. Perhaps we could watch it between movies.

BTW - the fox 6 track is a bit choppy - but it is working. It's actually a pretty good interview job by Fox 6.

Something you may want to consider if you don't own a DVD player: VCDs will also play on any average CD-ROM drive if you install the correct software. I use something called Xing MPEG Player, which is owned by RealNetworks. Registration is $30.

I believe there is a fre VCD player from Apple if you have a DVD drive on a Mac.

I would love to have one but I won't know until Friday the 28th if I'm making the party or fulfilling our prior commitment. How else could I get one from you? You can PM me or email me at our home address.

OK - I just finished the last of 20 VCDs. If we need more I can always make some.

    Looking forward to tomorrow!
