Thanks. I didnt use a greenscreen. I used a white wall. Unfortunatly, I am not the best when it comes to lighting, so when I attempted to key in premeire, anytime I would set the keyer more sensitive, it would erase my boday as well. Afer all, i used this video for it http://s59.photobucket.com/albums/g308/brucem91/?action=view&current=DSCF2327.flv

Okay. This is the second hologram video test I made by manually keying myself. Most(not all)of those particles are gone, and it looks better than the first IMO. It is still the same shot from before, but just edited better.

WOW, i jump over these effects all the time. By only using my camera, MSPaint, and Premeiere Elements 2, I was able to make some blaster fire in Star Wars style. I know that there isnt any muzzle flashes, I just didnt feel like it.

Anyone? I would like to know how you guys feel about this video.

Also, I made a new energy ball video. There are three energy balls, one is set to screen, one is set to color dodge, and the other linear dodge. Please tell me what you think.

Actually the first link works fine... at least for me. No offense but I was not impressed. I've seen better graphics on a lite-brite. Justkiddingbutnotreally. ;)

The download worked fine for me.

Your first energy balls actually looked better. This one kind of looked like it was painted on the film. Energy balls are like Jedi costumes....they don't really exist and so you have some range to play with them to make them how you like, but they should look somewhat realistic to the viewer. Your lens flare ones actually weren't bad, who's to say thats not what an energy ball looks like?

The blasters need a little work, but are a good start. You can do some pretty nice effects with the Premiere Titler feature. I've been using it for blaster bolts. Try playing with the colors a little bit, and add some blur. You also need to get the timing a bit better, they were too slow.

Anyone? Well, I decided to take a break from energy balls for a sec, and decided to get back onto another video i filmed a while ago but never got around to finishing. Thus video test tests a few things: 1)The camera i use doesnt record sound. I had to externally record the sound in Audacity 2)First CG enhanced video with lights on the model to attempt realism

PLease tell me what you think. I got the lightning as best as I could. http://www.mnlan.net/view_video.php?viewkey=5649e7003b83dd475529

Alright. As most of you who know me, I have been using anim8or for a while. So here is a animation test done in blender without using any tutorials. PLease tell me what you think. I do know that the Jedi Starfighter goes through a gun turret, I just need to play with the keyframes. Also, does anyone know how to delete a keyframe in blender? Thanks. Oh, and left click here for the video file300 kbs no sound. And I am still working on compression, sorry about that.

I'm honestly not trying to bash here, or be discouraging, but I have to be honest here... I'm not even sure what that's supposed to be.

yeah, i have to agree with you guys myself. I think the problem is that I dont think I could get blending modes in blender, at least not in the sense we are used to. That is probably my problem. What I should probably do is export that on a black video, then screen it in. And pretty much, its just another form of "energy", this time not in ball form.

If it's supposed to be some form of energry, it should probably move, and at least fade away over time. The animation in respect to the hand is also very poor - like the previous poster, I don't want to be discouraging at all and was wondering if I should post my original answer, but you have a long long way to go.

I will get that later, but I have a new video. It should lead up to a actuall film, but that is all I am saying. Please tell me what you think(yes, I know the lightning needs to be fixed, and I know the ball apears when it isnt visible). And youtube didnt butcher my quality, what you see is pretty much the same quality I exported at.

Why do they stand back to back, walk away, then walk back towards each other?
Why is the one guy laughing?
Why does the "energy ball" go flying off to the right side of the screen, then come back? It just looks like they're throwing it back and forth.
