;) It's all about having fun, IMO. I'd much rather lose and have fun (screaming and protesting about how I was robbed the whole time, of course. :p ) than win and be bored.

I vote D. If we can get 16 that would be great. And I personally like the round robin to the double elimination, but both work.

Well at this point looks like we have 3 judges, a comissioner and one GM. [face_laugh]

I'm the 3rd judge it seems....now all we need is 15 more GMs.

Are ye now? Well that be sometin', says I. The top three from last time stepping aside and letting all the rest of you puds have a chance to make something of yourselves while we rain down firey judgments from on high. You're welcome. [face_cowboy]

I was debating about that...I thought I'd probably have a good shot at the win with both of you sitting out. But what can I say, I'm generous :p

    I vote D.

I'd like for C to be my vote, but interest is interest. D seems more practical with room for leway.

Yeah well that means I am top dog then. With a team that I only picked half of last round even.

So, uh, what else we got?

I could use some mod word on prizes for next time. I assume a week of VIPship again?

Yes, that would be very nice of them. :p Seems to be the standard, anyhow.

    C or D for me.

Shal we start the next contest then?

I'm up for GMing again and if the next draft is posted and filled whilst I'm a kip tonight I'll not be happy.

One more question ... game bans ... yes or no?

I say yes. It's not like it really matters. You can sock post while game banned (Though you probably shouldn't. Use that 24 hours to go outside and get some sunshine on that pale, nerdy skin. :p ), and it's just a fun little... thing... I guess. Either way.

I say yes but only for people who go out in the first round as it just goes to show how rubbish they are and that they deserve their ban.

    After that no.

Alright, I have the opening post just about ready. I'll leave this open for a bit to get any final comments in, and then when the consensus seems to be "let's move on", I'll ask the mods to lock this thread and I'll start the new one

As far as I'm concerned, let's move on.

Gotta love the FF6ers... but just as a friendly judgey warning, making a team entirely or almost entirely from those dudes and dudettes may not be the greatest move (unless you don't give hoot about winning). But then again, it all depends on what the other teams look like at the end. Maybe it might be a good idea... but I sorta doubt it.

Variety is the spice of life, I always say... actually, I never really say that. But also, cohesion is a good thing, but it ain't everything. That one I say a lot.

but within a team like that there would be oodles of variety.
a team made of six of those dudes would totally be enough to trounce a team made up of almost anything else. if we are judging them at their respective peaks.
    aye!

Please excuse my ignorance (never played FFVI) but what makes the FFVI characters so much better over FFVII and other incarnations?

Could this be a run of rose tints in your glasses or are there genuine reasons for the reverence?
