Shadow of Durron: Sephiroth

From my sources this guy is pretty powerful and should win a lot, correct me if I?m wrong but great swords man, enhanced body and magic? And some ability to mind control? Sorry I haven?t played any Final Fantasy at all and I can?t find a list of powers?Either way it?s a Good Pick

A good pick like a demon Master Chief with guns and swords?He will probably win a lot?but he seems to need to power up before he is really strong?That could be a problem but I don?t think it?s that big of one?Good Pick

Another good pick, a very strong dark side character and I think the only sith in this draft, also his light saber will prove to be very useful in this draft since not many will stand a chance against it.

Handmaiden_Yane: Zelda

Now this one in my opinion isn?t so good?1st why did you pick the person that gets captured almost every game? She has some magic powers and stuff but you had a lot better choices on the board?Also she is wise and stuff but how wise can she be if she always gets captured?I?m not saying this is a bad pick?But I don?t think its that good of one either?

The_Jackal_89 : Master Chief

A good pick, skill knowledge (of how to kill anyway) Brute strength and his shields and armor will give him a lot of endurance?He is completely subsabtible to magic and other forms of non-physical attacks though?And there are plenty of guys that can beat him?Overall I don?t see Chief losing very often but it?s a defiant possibility and there are a couple of better guys you could have gone with?But still a good pick.

Dart nave: Kyle Katarn

Hum?While he is a powerful Jedi there was a much better pick you could have gone with?And he isn?t overally powerful, in the game sure he is cool and stuff but there are some better picks?That aside, I could see Kyle beating a lot of people simply because of the force and his light saber?He is good?But not the best choice you could have made?

Nitesylver- James Bond

Interesting?While a fun character to play as, and more gadgets then almost anyone else in this draft, he is just human, with no shields or extra powers?I can see him winning a few and losing a few more?I think bond will get picked off by people with defenses were he lacks the most?Not bad but not a first round pick?

Overall to B-

Master-FatBurt: Samus Aran

Another shot them up game character?She is a lot like the Master chief in the fact she is good at killing has shields and missiles?But she brings an interesting strategy with her ball form and charge cannon, also a gun attached to her could help in some situations?But probably not to great of a pick, her defenses don?t seem to be to overally high unless she has like 7 energy bars?Overall a good pick.

Master_Kast7: Solid Snake

Interesting?While a good fighter and excellent at sneaking around I don?t know how well he will do because of the regular human with no force shields or anything factor?In my opinion he is kind of like a 007 guy but sneaker?Well I guess we will see later right now I?ll stick with my gut decision?

Emperor_Windu: Neo

I love this pick and I can see that it?s going to do well what a steal! Maybe one of the best picks this round! Extremely fast, strong, and can fly, better with guns than the punisher and more martial arts than Batman?Excellent pick and I see no problems so far for you, keep picken like this?

From what little I know Sephiroth is pretty powerful and will make a great leader for an evil team. Now I haven't played FF7, so with more info I might bump this rating up.

Dante is half-demon and that gives him tremendous powers. He also has access to a crapload of nifty weapons. Individually, he should win most of his matches. You pulled the (Devil) trigger on a great move for your team.

He's got the powah of the dahkside and a lightsaber. Could be a good evil team Leader. I can see him winning most of his matches.

Very weak Individual pick. She doesn't have much (if any) offensive abilities, BUT she is great for a heroic team. Zelda has very powerful defensive magic that will be a huge plus in team battles. She makes an excellent leader and will inspire most heroic characters to fight hard for her.

Snake's the "perfect soldier", but he doesn't stack up so well against most taken before him in this round. I'd give this pick a higher rating if this was in a later round. But like Bond, I just don't think Snake is first round material.

Whoa. Neo's video game incarnation is just as bad-ass as in the movies. His ability to use "bullet-time" will be huge I think. He can, for a limited time, slow speed enough to dodge bullets and land a series of various attacks or disarm his opponents before they even knew what hit them.

Well, at least with prep time he could power-up with a fire-flower or raccoon-tail or something. Yeah, everyone's favourite plumber is going to be running into some real problems.

Link has alot of archaic weapons at his disposal, as well as some magic and a sturdy shield. Not a bad pick at all. Things could get very interesting if he's given prep time.

I see no real reason not to pick what I think is the most powerful and skilled warrior left on the board. He will get along great with Neo (they can talk philosophy all day long, and maybe this guy will get through to Neo where he asks everyone else, "Why?")

About Solid Snake:

In the Gamecube remake of the first Metal Gear Solid, they really beefed up his fighting skills in the cutscenes. Paired with his weaponry, I think Snake can more than hold his own against a lot of people.

But that's enough gushing about other people's picks, I think. Neither one could take Sephiroth. There, that's better.

EDIT: I dunno about Yoda being the best left, though, WINDEX. These Jedi are in a draft now where their Force abilities can look like parlor tricks.

Shadow about Snake...

I've only played Metal Gear Acid, but from what I can tell Snake is just a man so no extra strenght, he has some knolege of martail arts but nothing to fancy...Also I would judge him as the origonal game not some port thing...Sony owns Metal Gear so I would base it off them...(Not that it matters becuase Snake has good hand to hand anyway)

 

Snake prepped will be a force to be reckoned with. Without that prep, he loses a lot, I expect.

Might get a write up on the first round picks later on.

 

Hey, doesn't matter to me. I didn't pick him. Snake's strength and reflexes are above normal human standards, though. He's no Superman, obviously, but he'd put some Olympic-level athletes to shame. And his knowledge of martial arts is really quite fancy, actually.

And the remake, The Twin Snakes, is really no different than the original. The graphics were updated and they made some of the cutscenes a little more exciting, but the story was exactly the same, and it was made in full cooperation with Hideo Kojima, so I don't see why that shouldn't be used... but like I said, it makes to differnece to me.

I do think he went a bit early, but not nearly on the level of some of the other first round picks.

 

I'm thinking I might've been too rough on Mario. He gets a little better if we take Legend of the Seven Stars into account.

 

Ah, good thinking. I just played that for the first time last year. Hooray for emulators! He's still an obese plumber, but he does have some good skills.

Dude, Kyle is awesome! He beat down legions of Reborns and killed Dessan. Has that green midget ever defeated a Sith Lord? No, I don't think so. In fact it was a draw between Sidious and him. He couldn't even beat Count Dooku.

 

Desann was never a Sith.


A really nasty Dark Jedi maybe with a touch of Sith teaching but never a true Sith.

 

He defeated Jerec, however, who had studied enough about the ways of the Sith that he was probably next in line after Vader. *shrug*

 

Actually in an unnifical way yes he beat Doku...and no one knows what yoda's done in his 900 years of life...Plus he drew with the most powerful sith lord...(exept mabye plagues the wise)

Kyle isn't even close, the Legions of Reborns really don't scare me...Kyle is good but not nearly as good as Yoda...
