    Does anyone know the actual viewspace width (in pixels) of a webpage in the following resolutions?

    . 800 * 600
    . 1024 * 768
    . 1280 * 960

    Thanks in advance. :)

    That's going to be different for every browser and also dependent on user settings (large icons or small for buttons, number of plugin control bar menus like blogger, etc.)

    There is no "right" answer to that.
    (As far as I know)

    Have fun.

    I meant the width counting with IE's frame and with the scrollbar. ;)

    Well there is no definitive answer. For example I use Mozilla so even if you get specific measure ments for IE they may not necessarily apply.

    That said I go with the widths reported by Dreamweaver:

    800 x 600 -> 760 x 420
    1024 x 768 -> 955 x 600

    Which are a little too conservative if you ask me. Then again you can have free flowing text and graphics below the maximum sizes which should translate to a lot of viewing situations. I remeber reading long ago about hat to consider for the widths of scrollbars and the like but I don't have it handy.
