This link (self-contained within AOTC) is a little more obscure, and requires some outside knowledge of cinema. Bonus points if you do get it, though.

This might be a stretch, but:

Just interesting seeing the troopers storming out of the dropships, one group notably led by Jedi, the other from an upcoming film that is all about making a point that the Jedi are all but extinct.

One wonders what situation Rey is in at that point? We know what it is for Anakin and Luke.

What's funny about the above comparison is that whoever was shooting the behind the scenes video was clearly doing so with George Lucas's sensibility. Wide shot, unmoving, with all the motion happening just off-center of the frame. But where the actual camera is placed (meaning what the final shot in the movie will look like) is totally JJ- the camera probably starts wide, but quickly swoops in low, through the smoke, to greet the audience with the emerging face of Kylo Ren in a most dramatic fashion. I'll leave it up to you to decide which style is "better", but that's just my observation.

Noticed that. Like I keep saying, its going to be odd (but also extremely interesting) to see Star Wars in the hands of someone who is not George Lucas (or under close guidance by Lucas). Definitely going to be interesting from a stylistic standpoint, seeing just how different things are. Not that difference is good or bad, just something new. And I'm extremely glad that Star Wars went to a guy like Abrams who has a distinctive style rather than someone like, say, Alan Taylor (see Terminator: Genisys, or at least the trailers... that's as much as I ever bothered with with that film. The only bits there that look like they have any sort of personality are the ones that are shot-for-shot recreating Cameron's film). Star Wars needs the life and the style of the filmmakers that work on it injected in it in order to exist. It always has had that, and I think and hope that under Disney's guidance that trend can continue. It definitely appears to be the case with Episode VII, at least, and for that I am incredibly thankful.

That's a great observation. It's a perfect example of Lucas's documentary style of filmmaking. Up to this point, Star Wars has never really depended on dynamic camera movements for its energy. The shots were always competently framed, but otherwise there wasn't all that much fancy stuff going on (except for occasionally, like in the Episode III opening). Where the films really got their energy was from the editing.

The listed editors for Episode VII don't (I think) have a particularly distinctive resume, so I think this film may have to lean more heavily on J.J.'s own skills as a director for its energy. So while it can still be good, I think the movie might have a very noticeably different feel from both the PT and the OT, which may or may not surprise some people.
