TPM/ANH. Blankets- This one is not the best picture for it, but check out your prequel dvd covers. There is a progression over the prequel covers, the fire (or glow) gets smaller or duller. Then in ANH, Tarkin comments "The Jedi are extinct. Their fire has gone out of the universe." I wonder if it was intended? Some people have noted a parallel between Vader and C-3PO. A couple of examples... "Lost arm"- "First steps"- AOTC/ANH. I just like the repeated use of stop-motion animation producing forms of entertainment in the GFFA- ROTS/ANH. Obi-Wan: "Always on the move."- Obi-Wan: "Quickly, they're on the move."- ROTS/ANH. Anakin: "I'm going to turn you over to the Jedi Council." Palpatine: "Of course you should, but you're not entirely sure of their intentions." Obi-Wan: "You must do what you think is right, of course." ROTS/ANH. Darkside and lightside recruitment... "Become my apprentice. Learn to use the darkside of the force."- "Learn about the force, Luke."

Saw this one on starwarsverses.tumblr.com and thought it was wonderful: Without words, it simply and elegantly illustrates Anakin's feelings of loneliness and isolation. A beautiful visual representation of a character's state of mind.

This isn't mirroring or a visual link, but I like, in the scene where Obi-Wan, Anakin and Padme fall of the Reek the way they land kind of shows their aptitude in battle: Obi-Wan lands straight on his feet, practically in fighting stance, Anakin stumbles a little and loses his balance but quickly regains his posture while Padme lands flat on her stomach. Unfortunately I don't have a pic of the actual moment where they fall but this is immediately after...
TPM/AOTC. Role reversal as Anakin cowers from Watto in TPM... ...then Watto cowers from Anakin in AOTC. "Wait, you're a Jedi! Whatever it is, I didn't do it!" - AOTC/ROTS - AOTC. Padme: "Stay with the ship R2." - ROTS. Anakin: "R2, go back. I need you to stay with the ship." - Vader: "R2. Stay with the ship." I think R2 senses a change in Anakin in this scene... AOTC/ESB. "I will never join you, Dooku." "I'll never join you!" AOTC/ANH. "He says he's carrying a message from an Obi-Wan Kenobi. Master Anakin, does that name mean anything to you?" - "He says that he is the property of an Obi-Wan Kenobi, and it's a private message for him." - I wonder if this is foreshadowing the Empire... the Republic using mini deathstars AOTC/ESB - AOTC/ANH - AOTC/ROTS. What about Anakin watching how his funeral will happen as a child? Quigons funeral was well attended & Anakins was only attended by Luke.
Is this what you had in mind? There is also an interesting Ep3 inversion, where Anakin is burned alive. The cremations happen with an unbroken bond, the immolation comes when Anakin loses his "family". TPM/ANH. The Jedi and the Republic are dominant in TPM, and "invade" the TF ship... The Sith and the Empire are dominant in ANH, and they invade the Tantive 4 - TPM/ANH. The Republic and Empire advancing through smoke/dioxids - TPM/ANH. Taking the Jedi path.
