Awards Volunteers Needed for the Awards! - And your Overseer is...

Wow, all these volunteers overnight? Just reiterating here what I told the mods on PM already, I volunteer for anything.

 

I wonder if that now means you're the Overseer

I'm not certain I have either the time or the experience to perform a host role, otherwise I would've stepped in to help there. How did y'all end up with volunteers in the end?

Give us a bit to discuss, to let the Overseer know they've been chosen, and discuss things with them. We'll make some announcements soon. Since this is a new process, it might be a little slow going at first.

 

You have no idea what the combo of repeated/similar sentences and SW avatars in this thread mean to a seasoned crack!fic writer. I can't even look at the first page, it's too funny and I don't think I know how to explain.

 

After reading your last crack!fic, I can only imagine and eagerly await any results.

To be considered, do fics have to be on this index that Ewok Poet mentioned?

Also, do NSWFF do their own awards?

 

Sith-I-5 We'll be providing a list of eligible fics for these awards. With search being down, it's kind of lucky that we have one, actually.

For NSWFF, you'd have to ask the NSWFF mods. AFAIK there haven't been any NSWFF awards since 2011, but I may have missed something.

 

Just a note on the NSWFF, Mav and I elected back in 2014 to leave it up to the NSWFF Mods to decide if/how NSWFF awards are done. We figured including them when we did them was just going to be too much work for us, and since many of the volunteers are new this year, it was going to be too complicated to include that side of things as well.

 

Sith-I-5 The said index is basically a list of everything posted in 2015 that has not been written by Chyntuck and the moderators. If somebody else decides to bow out of awards as they are, their stuff will be removed from it, too. And by "everything", I mean everything. I just went through it all, because I am the only person who apparently enjoys things like this and there's a wide variety of incredibly creative things.

Ewok Poet , you referred to a "Fanfic Index" on the first page; is that the same as the "Prolific Writers Index", as I have not yet found anything called a "Fanfic Index"?

 

It's the thread pinned to the story subforum front page. But the version used for the awards will contain only 2015 fics and only their names, author names and links. Hope that helps.

An index not on the Resources page; didn't see that coming.
