A friendly warning: Unless you're actually parking in the town of Wrightwood you'll probably need one of the adventure passes in your car. Just as a precaution, you might want to check that out when you're scouting for spots. They can be pretty picky about parking up there. I'd hate to see anybody get a ticket.

To use ANY of the Forest land, you need an Adventure Pass. So we might as well go to Jackson Lake. The cost really isn't that bad; $5 per vehicle, per day (F.A passes). Here is a list of vendors up in Wrightwood that sell them. You can look for a city near you, click on, it, and find someone that sells them Here.

To cut costs, I have a suggestion: how about we meet up in the city of Wrightwood, get our bearings, then carpool into Jackson Lake? I have no idea how big a crew we'll have at this point, but my preliminary estimate is about six. (three actors, three crew) Further details to be discussed at the online meeting.

NOTE: I don't know how many people we'll have to content with. Jackson Lake used to be little-known, but it's become more popular with fishers and rowboaters. Peak season isn't until May-September, but there still may be people exploring the general area. I'm praying crowd control will not be a problem.

Jedi are a dime a dosen. (no offense) I can get them anywhere. What I really need are Civillians. I've got one, but I just need two more; one for tomorrow and one for next week. Please?

 

I'll rideshare if there's room; I need room for me and the Youngling. Darren is working until 2 so I need to drag him along. I still need to look for some appropriate shoes to wear for tommorow. Cara I'll PM you my cell phone so we can meet up somewhere. I'm not familiar with Wrightwood except for driving to Mt. High.

GAH! With all that's been going on this week, I forgot; next shooting date is TOMORROW! And I only need 1 Civillian and 1 Jedi. I can be the Jedi if need be, but I reeeeaaally need a Civillian. The location is Mojave Narrows Regional Park in Victorville, CA.

I'm not really expecting anyone to show up on such short notice, but hey, it can't hurt.

Once this is finished, the next date will be for a big scene; the Trooper March re-creation at a location in Culver City. I'm thinking it'll be May 10th.

 

Ok, listen up, everyone! I need a Jedi and a Civillian ready to go on Saturday, April 19. We meet at 10 AM at Mojave Narrows in Victorville. Directions will be forthcoming. C'mon, people, let's finish this thing! 8)

Sorry if that sounds pushy...but that's my last free weekend before filming stormtroopers is to begin!

Getting closer to the shoot this Saturday. Dad wants to turn it into a family outing as well, so maybe my whole family will be coming along! Whee!

More good news! Progress on my nephews' Youngling belt; I've got it about half-done, plus I'm going to be making the pattern for his outfit real soon.

I've hit a snag. My 'Anakin' actor, who was also my compositor, cannot help any more due to a family emergency. So I guess the projected 'Clone shoot' for May 10 is off.

Well, it looks like I need to start figuring out how to do greenscreen, then. Looks like the next shooting date we'll finally be doing the studio shots! Just a warning, this may take a while.
