    Interesting stuff, Quix. I think the whole prevailing point that sodium should be taken in moderation is probably not in dispute. It would seem the dispute, especially as it relates to the article in questions, is "how much is the right amount"?

    Edit: A thought dropped in on me, Quix. There is a difference between establishing sodium is a risk factor for disease (which no one disputes) and establishing that modifying that risk factor actually helps with disease prevention or survivability. I may have missed it, but it doesn't appear that any of the studies you site indicate a positive effect on survivability following a dietary sodium reduction program being put in place. I suppose an argument could be made on the prevention side.
